  Lenora V. Romenesko, Kaukauna, age 82, died at Appleton Medical Center on Monday June 8, 2009. She was born March 10, 1927, to the late Henry and Melita (Kilber) Hafner. On February 1, 1947, she was united in marriage to Monroe "Fat" Romenesko and together they celebrated nearly 62 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2008. Lenora was a longtime and active member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She was a loving wife and mother and dedicated her life to her family. Lenora loved listening to music and enjoyed her flower gardens. She is survived by her eight children: Linda Veldman, Milwaukee; Daniel (Marilyn), Wilmington, Delaware; Denise Romenesko, Milwaukee; Melita (Lowell) Prickett, Kaukauna; Eileen (Dennis) Valukas, Racine; Mary Van Rooy, Ashwaubenon; Walter (Cindy), Neenah, and Nora (Bryan) Snyder, Green Bay; 13 grandchildren: Cathy (Ken) Oppermann, Denise Veldman, Andrew (Bobbi Jo) Veldman, Ruth (Jeremy) Peterson, Melissa (Craig) Kehoe, Brian Prickett (fiancee Amanda Uecker), Molly Prickett, John (Krisi) Valukas, Emily Valukas, Ethan Van Rooy, Ian, Laura, and Sarah Snyder; 14 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Eileen (Werner) Drefs, Dorothy (Richard) Lassegard, and Marlene Yaksich; a brother, Don (Jill) Hafner; a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Hafner, a brother-in-law, Louis Baehman. She is further survived by her husband's sisters: Martha Jacobs, Germaine St. Arnold, Marie (Richard) Powers, and Francis Hutton; sisters-in-law: Mildred Romenesko and Mildred Romenesko; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Thomas Van Rooy, two grandsons: Lukas Veldman and Joshua Prickett, two brothers: Raymond Hafner and Hilmer "Jim" Hafner, a sister, Irma Baehman, a foster brother, Edwin Knittle, a great grandson, Eamon Kehoe, and numerous in-laws. Funeral Services for Lenora will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday June 11, 2009, at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon St., Kaukauna with Rev. Karl Schultz and Rev. Mark Luetzow co-officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday directly at Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Lenora's name is being established. 920-766-2099.
