  Huhn, Gladys E. (Sommers)Gladys E. Huhn, Appleton, age 96, passed away at Colony Oaks Care Cent er on Sunday, April 16, 2006. She was born in Appleton on May 27, 2006, da ughter of the late Frank and Florence (Knaack) Sommers. She was marri ed in Las Vegas to her husband, Donald J. Huhn, who preceded her in dea th in 2001. When she was young, she had worked at the Appleton Wire Work s. Gladys was very good at baking cakes and spent a lot of time making dec orative flower arrangements. She will be remembered for being a wonderf ul neighbor.Gladys is survived by her three step-grandchildren: David Deering of Milwa ukee; Mike Deering of Florida; and Karen Deering of Texas. She is furth er survived by cousins, and many loving and helping friends.She is preceded in death by her husband, Don, her parents; her brother, Fr anklin Sommers; and her cousins, Bernice Merollo and Ruth Langedyke.The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2006, at the Wi chmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida St., Menasha, wi th Rev. Jane Voigts officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral h ome on Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
