  Beverly Ann Konkle, age 82, Freedom, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at her home after a long illness. The funeral liturgy will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 26, 2009, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, W2037 County Road S, Freedom with Fr. David Hoffman and Deacon Don Newhouse officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. on Monday until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Fargo Funeral Home 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue Kaukauna 920-766-6200 Online condolences at www.wichmannfargo.com October 24, 2009 Konkle, Beverly Ann Beverly Ann Konkle, age 82, Freedom, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at her home after a long illness. She was born on December 31, 1926, daughter of the late John and Wilma Riggles. She married Elmer Konkle on June 30, 1945, at St. Joseph Church in Appleton. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1981. Bev's greatest joy was her family and her love and affection for each and every one of them was obvious. Endless hours were spent supporting children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in sporting and school events. Wednesday was her favorite day. She would spend the morning and afternoon with her brother, Don, and the evening with "her boys" when they gathered to cut lawn and visit. She found great pleasure in swimming, gardening, reading and crosswords. Bev is survived by her children: Mike (Connie), of Sauk City; Steve (Pat), Curt (Betty), Jack (Carol), Joe (Deb), Bruce (Cindy), Russ (Beth) Konkle, Kris (Rick) Garvey, all of Freedom; and Bebe (Jim) Valentine of Hilbert; 27 grandchildren: Michelle, Francie, Rachel, Shelly, Brett, Gina, Adam, Andy, Angela, Kristy, Kelly, Scott, Dallas, Ashley, Tara, Justin, Craig, Garrett, Billie Jo, Dani, Leah, Amanda, Josh, Austin, Emily, Alex, and Jesse and 12 great-grandchildren: Daniel, Heath, Reid, Kyla, Carter, Evan, Andrew, Alyson, Cole, Aiden, Weston and Izzy. She is further survived by her brother: Don Riggles and her husband's family: Viola and Roy Rickert, Joyce Konkle and Vernon and Phyllis Konkle; and her constant and loyal canine companion, Chica. Bev was preceded in death by four infant grandchildren: Sarah Konkle, Joseph, Beverly and Dawn Garvey; and her sister-in-law: Ellie Riggles. On the Konkle side of the family she was preceded by her mother and father-in-law: Joseph and Berdina and her step-mother-in-law: Katherine (Beno), brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Vernon "Shorty" and Anita Gerritts and their son: Ron, and Urban Konkle. The funeral liturgy will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 26, 2009, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, with Fr. David Hoffman and Deacon Don Newhouse officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. The family wishes to extend special appreciation to her caregivers, Sue Morrison, Affinity Visiting Nurses, Hospice, mainly Crystal and Gina, Dr. Russo and his staff and especially her children: Bruce, Kris and Russ.
