    Alice M. Meier, age 87, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Brewster Village. She was born on February 19, 1926, to the late Albert and Marie Van Stralen, and she resided in Kimberly. Alice graduated from Kimberly High School in 1945 and worked for Kimberly Clark. On June 3, 1947, she married the love of her life, Roman Meier, and they spent 66 wonderful years together. Alice always had a strong faith and is now with her savior. She was an excellent seamstress and decorator, and she was always very crafty. Alice greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the 27 summers they were able to be in Door County. She was loved by her entire family, and she will be dearly missed.
    Alice is survived by her husband, Roman Meier; children, Jeff (Monica) Meier, Mike (Diane) Meier, Mary (Gary) De Goey, Darlene (John) Parks, and David (Jill) Meier; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Marie Van Stralen; son, James Meier; sister, Rita Ciha; and parents-in-law, Mathew and Sophie Meier.
    Funeral liturgy for Alice will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. A time of visitation will be held at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
    We would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Brewster Village - Atrium for their outstanding care. The nurses, CNA's and staff went above and beyond for our Mom.

    Van Stralen, Ray A special man has passed over to start a new journey. Ray was a loving and appreciative husband to Betty (Kerkhof) for almost 60 years, and the most wonderful father to Diane, Donna, Mary and her husband Nouri, Alan and his wife Reema, and Dan and his wife Jennifer, all residing in Northern California, plus the many who adopted him as their dad and grandpa also! He was fortunate to have seven adoring grandchildren, Matthew, Anissa, Kira, Olivia, Max, Eva, and John. He only missed seeing his first great grandson by a few months. He is also survived by two brothers, Jim and Ken (Margie), and three sisters, Marilyn Huth, Joyce (Jim) Ebben and Gloria (Jack) Willimason and brothers-in-law Roman Meier and Herman Ciha. He was preceded in death by his sisters Alice Meier, Rita Ciha, and baby Mary, his sister-in-law Marion, as well as his parents Albert and Marie (Van Elzen) Van Stralen and his in-laws George and Anna (Ebben) Kerkhof. His grandson Max greeted him also.
    He was born in Kimberly, Wisconsin on August 30, 1930 and passed away at the age of 85 on July 28, 2016 in Pleasant Hill, CA where he and Betty have lived since 1994. He spent 39 years as a sheet-metal tradesman at the former paper mill in Kimberly where he retired in 1988.
    One of his fondest early memories was the camaraderie with his fellow soldiers while in the army in Germany during the Korean War.
    He was an avid Packers fan and had season tickets until he moved to California, although that didn't keep him from continuing to root for his favorite team!
    Modeling became a retirement hobby while in Wisconsin and he continued having fun with it for many years in California as well. The highlight was his role in the 'N Sync video "This I Promise You".
    After moving to California he spent many years volunteering for the organization "Caring Hands" by helping other seniors with chores and errands that they were not able to do. He was often teased about all of the women in his life!
    He will be greatly missed. We slowly lost the person that we knew and loved, but his thoughtful and generous spirit never waned. Everybody loved Raymond!

    Marilyn M. Huth, age 82 of Appleton, passed away on January 4, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital of Appleton. Marilyn was born on June 27, 1934 in Appleton Wisconsin to Albert and Marie (Van Elzen) Van Stralen. She was a graduate of Kimberly High School. On June 5, 1958 she married Earl Huth in Combined Locks and he preceded her in death in 2013. Marilyn was a mother, homemaker and also had a career as a Banquet Waitress. She was a very social, people person who especially loved time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time outdoors where she could often be found sitting in her yard, enjoying her flowers and the warm sunshine.
    She will be sadly missed by: her children, Gail (Mel) Lindsey of Menasha; Lori (Tony) Keddell of Menasha; Gregg (Darla) Huth of Combined Locks; grandchildren, Dwane (Jenny) Lindsey; Nicole Lindsey; Cherry Coda; Heather Keddell; Dillon (fiancé Kim) Huth; Nicholas Huth; Megan Huth, six great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim Van Stralen; Kenneth (Margie) Van Stralen; Joyce (Jim) Ebben; Gloria (Jack) Williams as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by: her husband Earl; her parents; a close family friend, Jeff Abbey; siblings, Alice Meier; Rita Ciha; Raymond Van Stralen; infant sister Mary Van Stralen.
    Abiding by Marilyn's wishes, private services will be held at a later date. She will be interred next to the love of her life, her husband of 55 years Earl, at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton.
    A memorial fund will be established. Donations can be sent to Wichmann Funeral Homes, Tri County Location in Menasha.
    The family would like to thank Marilyn's dearest and closest friends and family for all the companionship and love given to Marilyn over the years. Thank you to all the wonderful caregivers at Island Shores and the staff and nurses of St. Elizabeth Hospital, Fremont 3 for the excellent care given to Marilyn.
    "Mom loved her time talking with family and friends. Her love and acceptance of others is what made her who she was and will help guide us through all our lives."
