    George Renn, 72, 307 N. Richmond Street, died at 3:50 a.m. today after a 1 week illness. He was born March 20, 1886, in Darboy and lived in Appleton for the last 20 years. Renn was a farmer.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic church with burial in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Wichmann Funeral home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday.
    Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Luniak, Menasha; one brother, Henry, route 4 Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Dietzen, route 4, Appleton and Mrs. Frank Hones, Mattoon; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    Roman J. Dietzen, Kimberly, age 100, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Rennes Health Center. He was born December 18, 1906, to the late William and Elizabeth (Renn) Dietzen in Darboy. Roman married the former Rosemary Van Dyke. She preceded him in death in 1986. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on March 21, 1942, survived the Battle of the Bulge and drove a halftrack in the 5th Armor Division until his honorable discharge in October of 1945. Roman was a lifelong millwright for KC, retiring after 33 years of employment at age 62. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball as well as hunting and fishing over the years. Time spent with Rosemary on their Lake Winnebago Cottage was one of his favorite things. He also liked to work on small engines, repairing lawn mowers and snow blowers.
    He is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Rich (Helen) Dietzen and Les (Elaine) Dietzen and a sister, Lucille (Rich) Gregorius.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2007, at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street, Combined Locks, with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Friends will be received on Friday at Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. All are welcome to join the family for a luncheon following the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, 54130. Interment will take place in Holy Name Catholic Cemetery. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Rennes Health Center for the wonderful care they gave Roman this last 2 1/2 years.

She worked for Kimberly Clark for several years and then was employed with Wisconsin Tissue for 17 years, retiring in 1982. A loving mother, she is survived by six daughters: Elizabeth "Betty" Palmer and her two children, Kathy (Wade) Schultz and Edward (Christy) Palmer; Shirley (Robert) Dorn and their five children, Lynn (Steve) Christenson, Cindy Dorn, Amy (David) Huiting, Peggy (Mark) Raatz, and Patty (Robert) Hoffman; Joan Sokoloski and her three children, John (Sue) Sokoloski, Debbie (Mike) Armitage, and David Sokoloski; Arlene Casperson and her friend Armanda Garcia, and her two children, Curt Casperson and Lisa Casperson; Carol (Carl) Mathison and their three children, Christopher (Mary) Mathison, Craig (special friend Amy Bethe) Mathison, and Carrie (Kevin) Thome; Dorothy Piette and her four children, Richard "Dick" Piette, Tracy (Al) Mies, Danny (Kerry) Piette, and Dolly Piette; and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons-in-law, LaVerne Palmer, Boudwin Sokoloski, and Richard Piette, and two grandchildren, Jeffrey Palmer and Connie Mathison. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Septmber 13, 2001 at 7 p.m., at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial is being established for the Alzheimer's Association.

    Obituary:
    Richard W. Gregorius, age 73 of Waupaca, died Monday May 10, 2010, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. His pain and suffering has ended. Richard was born on July 12, 1936, the son of Richard S. and Lucille (Dietzen) Gregorius in Appleton. He graduated from St. Joseph Elem. School class of '51 and Appleton High School class of '54. Richard joined the Navy and served on the USS Wisconsin and primarily in the Panama Canal Zone. While in Panama, he met and later married Nicolasa (Chris) Sanchez Herrera. They resided in Milwaukee where Richard worked for Harnischfeger Mining Equipment Builders for 33 years, working up to management. While working he attended Milwaukee Area Technical College, graduating with a business degree. Richard was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed his vacations to Panama, fishing with Chris's family.
    Richard is survived by three sisters: Carol (Dave) Kaeding, Madison; Karen Booth, Slinger; Betty (Reg) Reinke, Appleton, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lucille Gregorius; his wife, Nicolasa (Chris), and his nephew Tony R. Gaschler.
    A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wisconsin Veterans Home Main Chapel, Father Paul Vanden Hogan will officiate. Entombment will be held at the Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee at a later date. A visitation will be held on Friday from 12:30 until the time of the Mass at 1:30 p.m. at the Main Chapel. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
