    Mr. Emil Uhlenbrauck Rt. 3, Appleton Age 73, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday after a brief illness. He was born March 3, 1896 in the Town of Grand Chute and lived most of his life in the Town in Freedom. He was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Freedom, a Veteran of World War One, European Theatre of War, Director and Vice President of Community Lutheran cemetery, Past Director and Vice President of Outagamie Equity Co-Op Exchange and a retired Insurance Agent. Survivors include his wife, Alma, two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Gladys) Schuette, Grafton, Wis., Mrs. Raymond (Eunice) Zimmerman, Appleton; two sons, Melvin, Rt.3, Appleton, Kenneth, Rt. 3, Appleton; one brother, George, Black Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Forbeck, Appleton, Mrs. Harvey (Mathilda) Schroeder, Appleton and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial in the Community Lutheran cemetery, Rev. Jerome Kingsbury officiating. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home from 2 p.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. Thursday and then at the church until the hour of service.

    Schuette, Gladys E. A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 6, 2009, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington Avenue, Grafton, for Gladys E. Schuette of Grafton who passed away peacefully on August 1, 2009, at the age of 86 years. Visitation was held at church on Thursday. Interment Community Lutheran Cemetery in Freedom, WI.     Gladys was born on June 28, 1923, in Freedom, WI, to the late Emil and Alma (Jahnke) Uhlenbrauck. She married Norman Schuette on August 5, 1951, and their marriage was blessed with six children. Before her marriage she worked for the Lutheran Childrens Friend Society in Milwaukee. Gladys babysat for many families of St. Paul Lutheran Church and also helped with the 3-year-old pre-school program. She enjoyed taking care of children, baking, taking care of her garden and being part of the Womens Guild at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
    Gladys is survived by her children: Neal (Debbie) of Grafton; Nancy (David) Hischke of Suring, WI; Dale (Lori) of Grafton; Gary (Terri) of Lacey, WA; Bob (Rachel) of New York, NY; and David (Wendy) Schuette, Round Lake Heights, IL; 16 grandchildren: Jason, Jared, Trenton, Rochelle, Robin (Joe), Luke, Jessica, Andy, Brad, Jaron, Christopher, Sean, Nicholas, Brianna, Nicholas and Benjamin; great-grandson, Logan; brother, Ken (Marva) Uhlenbrauck of Appleton; sister, Eunice Zimmerman; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Uhlenbrauck of Appleton. Gladys is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She is preceded in death by her husband Norman, brother Melvin Uhlenbrauck, brother-in-law Raymond Schuette and sister-in-law Helen Schuette.
