    Schnese, Kenneth A ., Sr.Kenneth A. Schnese Sr. , Appleton, formerly of Kimberly, age 87, died at F ranciscan Care and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, April 8, 2006. He w as born in Appleton on May 10, 1918, son of the late Arthur and Anna (V an Dinter) Schnese. He was a native of Kimberly and graduated from Kimber ly High School. On May 10, 1941, he married his wife of 46 years, Alvi na H. Bretthauer, who preceded him in death on April 26, 1988.Ken served as a member of the United States Army, 101st Airborne. He was i nvolved in the invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He receiv ed the Purple Heart in Holland and various other medals. Ken served as a m ember of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Americ an Veterans and the Catholic Order of Foresters. His interests included pl aying cards, bowling, the Packers, the Cubs, and being an avid golfer; ev en scoring a "hole in one," witnessed by Monsignor Carl Steiner.Ken is survived by his children: Kenneth (Betty) Schnese, Jr. of Darboy; S ue (Gary) Wankey of Little Chute; Sandra (Al) Paltzer of Mackville; Curt ( Doris) Schnese of Menasha; and Michelle (Kevin) Dolan of Kaukauna; grandch ildren, Tina and Scott; great-granddaughter, Emma; step-grandchildren: Ki m, Shari, Jodi, Tom, Tina, Deanna, Lester and Justin; step-great-grandchil dren: Stephanie, Nicole, Courtney, Trevor, Sasha, Kassandra, Caitlin, Cor ey and Sean; sister, Priscilla (John) Vosters of Kimberly; brothers, Ca rl Schnese of Black River Falls; and Larry Schnese of Kaukauna; sisters-in -law, Jackie Bretthauer and Esther Schnese; brother-in-law, Don and (Eunic e) Bretthauer; and many nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his wife, Alvina; daughter, Mary Jean, his pare nts; and two brothers: Flavian in World War II and Marv 1998.The funeral liturgy will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at HO LY SPIRIT PARISH, Kimberly Campus, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, wi th Fr.     In all the world we shall not find a heart so wonderfully kind. So soft a voice, so sweet a smile, an inspiration so worthwhile.
    Priscilla Margaret (Schnese) Vosters, age 95, of Kimberly, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 17, 1921, to the late Arthur and Anna (Van Dinter) Schnese. She married John J. Vosters on July 23, 1946 at Holy Name Church.
    Priscilla loved to help others. She was a volunteer for many years at St Elizabeth Hospital, along with her weekly visits to Colony Oaks Care Center, serving them coffee, cookies and her beautiful smile. She was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, chocolate lover and ice cream connoisseur. Priscilla always insisted on eating two desserts at every meal! She was our prayer warrior, always there for us, day or night. She sang in the church choir and often rode her bike to church. Priscilla taught her daughters to be strong, independent women. We are forever grateful to call her our Mother!
    She is survived by her six daughters, Sue (Gary) Van Nuland, Cindy Pynenberg, Sally (Jack) Driscoll, Diann (Jeff) Hietpas, Debbie (Dave) Austin-Johnson, and Mary (Dennis Besaw) Brennan; seventeen grandchildren, Steve Van Nuland, Jenifer (Randy) Huss, John (Kari) Pynenberg, Scott (Niki) Pynenberg, Mark (Becky) Pynenberg, Chad (Jodi) Pynenberg, Jill (Billy) Walker, Neal (Terra) Driscoll, Mathew (Lisa) Driscoll, Laura (Mike) Driscoll, Gene (Betsy) Hietpas, Dawn (Andy) Plumb, Alexandria (Jason) Reimer, Brooke (BJ) Miller, Calvin Sprangers, Brittany Sprangers and Jonathan Brennan. She is further survived by thirty great-grandchildren: Alex and Jack Nuland; Nick and Mya Pappano, Carlie, Brody and Riley Huss; Emma, Abby and Ian Pynenberg; Zac and Zoey Pynenberg; Devon and Dane Pynenberg; Brooklyn, Brett and Cody Pynenberg; Xander and Griffon Walker; Collin, Cole, Mauve, Ellery and Isla Driscoll; Allison and Kaitlyn Hietpas; Beckett and Evelynn Reimer, Alexandrea Sprangers and Charles Chew. Priscilla is also survived by her brothers, Carl and Larry Schnese; sisters-in-law, Sr. Mary Vosters, Doris Vosters and Margie Vosters and her brothers-in-law, Tom (Donna) Vosters and Leo (Margie) Vosters.
    In addition to her husband John and her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Alex Sprangers; son-in-law, Rick Pynenberg; her brothers, Ken (Alvina) Schnese, Marvin (Esther) Schnese, and Flavian Schnese; brothers-in-law, Wally (Ceil), Larry (Lorrie), Norb (Harriet), Louie (Josephine), Butch, Joseph and her sisters-in-law, Margaret (Ken) Kunstman, Dorothy (Paul) Schmidt and Catherine (Frank) Siedl.
    The Funeral Liturgy for Priscilla will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly, with the Msg. Jim Feely officiating.     Appleton - Sandra Rose Paltzer, 67, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at home. Sandy was born on October 29, 1950 to Kenneth Sr and Alvina (Bretthauer) Schnese in Appleton. On April 4, 1981 she was united in marriage to Alfred Paltzer. Sandy worked at Tuttle Press then in retail at Hebergers and Good'n Natural. She found her passion working at the YMCA as a reflexologist and Jin Shin Jyutsu (the art of gentle touch) practitioner. Sandy enjoyed cooking, and the holistic lifestyle. She also liked motorcycle touring with Al, playing cards with friends, reading and writing poetry. Sandy was a member of St. Thomas More and sang in the church choir.
    Sandy is survived by her husband AL, stepson Tom (special friend Lillian) Paltzer, step daughter Tina (Kevin) Flaherty, grandchildren; Caitlin, Corey, and Sean Flaherty, siblings; Ken (special friend Nancy) Schnese, Sue Wankey, Curt (Bonnie) Schnese, Michelle (Kevin) Dolan, uncles; Carl and Larry Schnese, nieces and nephews; Tina (John), Scott (Amy), Lester, Deanna, Kim, Shari, Jodi, Brittany, Justin, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Jean, sisters-in-law; Betty Schnese, and Doris Schnese, and a brother-in-law Gary Wankey.
    The funeral liturgy for Sandy will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald St. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home and at church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. The family would like to express their thanks to Theda Care Appleton and Theda Care at Home Hospice for their help with Sandy's battle with pancreatic cancer.

    Mary Pat Vande Hey, 55, Freedom, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 26, 2 005, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 31, 195 0, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Her family moved to Tomah, Wis ., a couple years later, where she grew up and spent her childhood. At t he age of 27, she moved to Freedom to start her own family. She was a carr ier for The Post-Crescent. A job she truly enjoyed, delivering the daily n ews to residents of Freedom for 15 years. Mary Pat loved music and dancin g, camping and the outdoors and, of course, her Green Bay Packers. She w as creative beyond words, whether it be interior design, building or the f abulous Halloween costumes made to celebrate her husband's birthday. She w as a loving and supportive, wife, mother and proud grandma.Mary Pat will be deeply missed by her husband, Dennis; her three daughter s, Melanie (Wade) Knorr, Tracy Bell, Jacole Vande Hey and her grandson, Ma son; her father, Carl Schnese; brothers, Jim Schnese, Tom (Sharon) Schnes e; sister, Karen Schnese; father and mother-in-law, Gene and Ethel Vande H ey; brothers-in-law, Mike (Lynn) Vande Hey, Keith Vande Hey, Nick (Maur a) Vande Hey, Kevin Vande Hey and Jeff Vande Hey; nieces and nephews, Ni ck Schnese, Graham (Laura) Schnese, Tyler Schnese, Darren (Sarah) Vande He y, Becky, Jesse, Ryan, Megan, Amanda and Rick Vande Hey.Mary Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Grace (DeGroot) Schnese.Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at S t.
