    Obituary:
Gordon D. Huettl, age 66, of Hortonville, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. He was born on December 3, 1948, son of the late Donald and Natalene (Werner) Huettl.
Gord graduated from Hortonville High School in 1967, and was a two-time conference champ in wrestling. He was married on October 19, 1968, to Patricia (Baumann) Huettl, and together they raised nine children. In 1996, he survived a kidney transplant from his brother, Robert. He retired in 2014, after 47 years at Birds Eye Canning Factory. Despite his failing health, he worked all the way to his retirement.
Gord had multiple passions in life. He loved working in the yard and especially in his garden. He was a master gardener and provided produce to his family every year. Fishing was another passion he had. Despite his allergy to fish, he still pursued his love for fishing. Every fall, Sport-O looked forward to pheasant hunting with his dog, Triscuit "Biscuit", and deer hunting. He was also an avid Brewers and Packers fan. He instilled his passion for all his hobbies within his children and grandchildren.
Gord is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia, and their nine children: Kirk, Joelle (Timothy) Woods, Gina (Kurt) Thern, Shannon (special friend Dan), Corey (Kimberly), Shane (Tiffany), Kara (fiancé Sean), Chelsey (fiancé Jake), and Cree; grandchildren: Chase (Brittany) Drath, Brock, Bison, Tiger, Haden, Kaia, Cage, Finn, Kamden, Ainsley, and Jessa. He is further survived by his siblings: Robert (Karen), Gary (Beverly), Gene (Patricia), Mary Lou, and Lisa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Natalene Huettl; sister, JoAnn Ziegler; father and mother-in-law, Cyril and Evelyn Baumann.
Gord was a faithful member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville, where his Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Jim Feely and Parish Director Greg Layton officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation for Gordon will be held directly at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Dad, we will miss you dearly, especially the way you spoke your mind. Thank you for dedicating your life to supporting Mom and us, and for fighting so hard to stay with us. We love you, and will never forget what you have taught us.
A special thanks to our mom for taking such amazing care of Dad, and to Uncle Rob for giving us 18 more years with him.

Gordon married Baumann, Patricia (daughter of Baumann, Cyril J. and Wittlin, Evelyn M.) [Group Sheet]
