Obituary:
Bonnie Felauer, age 73, of Hortonville went to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 27, 2016, with her daughters at her side. Bonnie was born July 12, 1942 to Edwin and Vera (Guyette) Davidson. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1960 and went on to Methodist Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1963. She married Edward Felauer in 1965. Together they raised four daughters. In 1967, Edward and Bonnie moved to Hortonville to a small farm where she lived for the rest of her life. Bonnie worked at Appleton Medical Center as a registered nurse and retired in 2005 after 42 years in the nursing profession, which she was very proud of.
Bonnie loved reading, sewing and quilting in addition to traveling with her daughters. She was an avid Packer fan who could discuss the nuances of the game with the best of them. Bonnie loved to go to her daughters and grandchildren's sporting events, no matter the distance, for as long as her health permitted. Bonnie also loved going to Door County and other wine tours across the country. She enjoyed attending fairs with her daughters and later grandchildren, at both the county and state levels, as well as the occasional sheep sales in Missouri. She also traveled with each of her grandchildren to at least one women's basketball Final Four Championship.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Edward Felauer, daughters Ann Felauer of Baltimore, MD; Lisa (Doug) Earll and Amy (Mark) Bedard both of Hortonville; grandchildren Justin, Mitchell, and Brandon Earll, and Megan Bedard. She is further survived by her siblings, Ron (Nancy) Davidson, Forest Junction; Sandy (Glenn) Kasten, Menasha; Lorna (Les) Kasten, Appleton; Brother-in-law, Dave (Nancy) Felauer, Prescott Valley, AZ; Sister-in-law, Connie Felauer, Appleton, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Steven Greger, Hortonville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Davidson and Vera Lietz, step-father, Alvin Lietz, her daughter Lynn Greger, and brother-in-law Gerald Felauer.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hari and his staff at Froederdt and Dr. Phillips and Daisy and their staff at FVHO for all their care and compassion that they showed to Bonnie and her family.
A Christian Funeral for Bonnie will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Greenville, with Rev. Joel Heckendorf officiating. A visitation for Bonnie will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 AT THE CHURCH (W7265 School Rd), from 4-7pm and on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
