    Obituary:
    Lois Virginia Ring Rehmer, Appleton, age 81, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at Rennes Health Care Facility. Lois was born July 10, 1925, to the late Ewald K. and Rena (Gehring) Ring in Appleton. She married Marlan Rehmer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna on October 27, 1951. Lois graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1943 and was employed at the Aid Association for Lutherans from 1943-1955. She then worked at Integrity Budget Service from 1967 until her retirement in 1986. Lois was the Outagamie County Coordinator for the Wisconsin State Old Cemetery Society. She (and her late husband Marlan) were instrumental in copying all known cemeteries in Outagamie County for the preservation of records. She was also a member of the Wisconsin Steam Antique Engine Club and the Horseless Carriage Club.
    She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Ric Jensen, Davenport, IA; her son and daughter-in-law: Scott and Diana Rehmer, Appleton; and two grandchildren: Christine and Sarah Jensen of Davenport. She is further survived by are a sister, Jane (John) Butala, her brothers: Ewald, Jr (Bud), Roy (Betsy) Ring and her aunt Sophia (Ring) Kocha.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marlan and brothers James and Wesley Ring.
    According to Lois's wishes, no formal services will be held. She will be buried in the Freedom Moravian Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, WI 54130.

    Darboy - Ewald R. Ring "Bud", Darboy, age 89, entered eternal life on Friday, May 4, 2018, at the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. He was born January 5, 1929, in Appleton, the son of Ewald Sr. and Rena (Gehring). He was baptized at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Appleton, confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna, and attended Kaukauna High School. On June 24, 1961, he married Elizabeth Buss in Appleton, and they were married for 36 years until her death on May 1, 1998.
    He served in the U.S. Army Branch 370 Amphibious Engineers from 1951-1953 during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company as a Journeyman (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning maintenance). He worked there for 27 years until his retirement in October 1991.
    Bud served on the Board of Directors with Kaukauna Credit Union from 1964-1997 and was a member of the Wisconsin Steam and Antique Engine Club. He was the President of the Freedom Moravian Cemetery from 2001-2015. Bud was the proud owner of a 1922 Model-T for over 60 years which he exhibited at numerous car shows and drove in many parades.
    In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Wesley, brother James, and sister Lois.
    He is survived by his brother, Roy (Betsy) Stockbridge, sister, Jane Butala, Royal Oak, MI., and his two sons, Timothy, Darboy, and Robert, Sherwood.
    Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm (today) at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 11:00 am at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 705 E. Greenfield Dr., Little Chute, WI with Rev. Ronald Szep officiating. Friends may again call at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established.     Obituary:
    Wesley R. Ring, Appleton, age 75, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, at Appleton Medical Center. Wes was born on January 5, 1929, in Appleton, to the late Ewald and Rena (Gehring) Ring. He married Dorothy Groat on April 11, 1953, and last year they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Wes proudly served in the U.S. Army, having been called up in 1951; he served in Army Boat Maintenance during the Korean War. In 1963 Wes and Dorothy founded Modern Sheet Metal; he retired from the firm in 1995. When Grand Chute began a police force in 1968, Wes was one of the first two officers. He enjoyed hunting at his favorite spot at Pembine and loved to fish. For many years he and a friend shared a boat and fished for salmon on Lake Michigan.
    Wes was a longtime member of the Valley Club of Racing Pigeons and upon his retirement returned to an old hobby of raising bees. He loved his church, Christus Lutheran. Wes helped in its creation, from the selection of the building site to raising walls and pounding nails. During the summer, Wes liked nothing better than to sit in the park he and Dorothy created at their home. With his dog at his side he would watch his pigeons fly and bees work.
    Survivors include his wife Dorothy; his children and grandchildren, David (Nina) Ring, and their children, Jeff (Sarah) Ring, and Laura and Lisa Ring, Appleton; Patti Ring, Milwaukee; Tom Ring (fiancee Patti Eben and her son, Dan), Appleton; his sisters, Lois Rehmer, Appleton; Jane (John) Butala, Royal Oak, Michigan; his twin brother, Ewald "Bud" Ring, Darboy; and Roy (Betsy) Ring, Hilbert; his sisters-in-law, Arlene (Don) Newton, Pensacola, Florida; Ruth Atkins, Lodi, California; and Mildred Wichman, Gillett, Wisconsin; and his special aunt, Sophia Kocha, Seymour.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, James.
    Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at CHRISTUS LUTHERAN CHURCH, N1915 Julius Drive, Greenville. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.

    Daniel John Ring, Kaukauna, was called to Jesus' arms on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the age of 50, due to a sudden heart attack. He was born April 26, 1960, in Kaukauna to Norma Ring Roerig and the late James Ring. Dan was a 1978 graduate of Fox Valley Lutheran High School, and on February 23, 1981, married Linda Gottschalk at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna.
    Dan is survived by his wife, Linda Ring, Kaukauna; three children: James (Brianna) Ring, Kaukauna; Carrie Ring, Kaukauna and her fiance Matt Verboomen; and Michael (Torri) Ring, Neenah; and a granddaughter, who was the apple of his eye: Meyah Ring. Dan was also awaiting the arrival of another grandchild in November. He is further survived by his mother Norma Ring (William) Roerig, Combined Locks; a brother, Steve (Sue) Ring, Shiocton; two sisters: Jan (David) Zimmerman, Watertown; Karen (Craig) Koch, Kaukauna; Linda's parents: Daniel and Delores Gottschalk, Lakewood; Linda's grandmother, Delia Schumacher, Ellsworth, Wisconsin; a brother-in-law, John (Sue) Gottschalk, Hortonville; a sister-in-law, Colleen (Brian) Hedtke, Knoxville, Tennessee; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends: Linda Sondregger, Donna Brantmeier, and Dan's extended family - all of the employees at Ring's Restaurant.
    Dan was preceded in death by his father, James Ring; paternal grandparents: Ewald and Rena Ring; maternal grandparents: John and Bertha Korthals; Linda's grandparents: Ewald and Ruth Gottschalk; her maternal grandfather, William Schumacher; and a niece, Angela Zimmerman.
    Dan had been the owner of Ring's Family Restaurant since 1984. Since the birth of little Meyah, his menu had featured many of "Grandpa Ring's Specials." He was an avid gardener, and with his heart of gold, shared his produce with many others. Dan was a lifelong member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna where he actively served in many capacities at the church and at the school.
    The Christian Funeral for Dan will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna, with Rev. Karl Schultz officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again at the church on Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established for Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Trinity Ev. Lutheran School, and Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
    The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Kaukauna Fire and Rescue and everyone in the Emergency Room at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their immediate and careful attention.
    Keeping true to Dan's generous spirit, his gift of organs and tissue will enrich the lives of countless others.
