Obituary:
Evelyn Haessly, age 94 of Little Chute, passed away at the Appleton Medical Center on January 1, 2016. Evelyn was born in Kaukauna on May 25, 1921, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Wagner) Hornung. She attended Holy Cross Catholic School, and was a graduate of the Kaukauna High School. On June 23, 1941, she married Bernard Haessly at Holy Cross in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death in 1985. Evelyn loved to spend time with her family, and enjoyed crafts of all kinds. She was a member of the Kaukauna Hobby and Craft Club.
She is survived by a son: Dave (Debbie) Haessly of Kaukauna; a daughter-in-law: Mary Haessly of Combined Locks; six grandchildren: Chris (Amanda), Mike (Jessica), Sean (Bridgette), Laura, Sarah, and Joe; and three great-grandchildren: Aydan, Brielle, and Alex. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons Dennis and Gary, a sister Esther, and twin great-granddaughters Darling and Mae.
The funeral liturgy for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 Am until the time of the service. Dennis J. Haessly, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 27, 2010. He was born in Appleton on October 21, 1954 the son of Bernard and Evelyn (Hornung) Haessly. On September 5, 1980 he married Mary "Pepe" Van Deurzen at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Dennis worked for various auto dealerships, most recently at Gustman's Chevrolet. He loved electronics and riding his Harley. Dennis will be remembered for being helpful to others, especially with their computers and cars. He will be dearly missed by his special buddy, Buster.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary; children: Christopher Haessly of Kaukauna, Michael (Jessica) Haessly of Appleton, Sean (Bridgette) Haessly and their son, Aydan "Buster," all of Kaukauna, Laura Haessly of Appleton, and Sarah Haessly of Appleton; mother, Evelyn Haessly of Little Chute; and brother, David (Deb) Haessly and their son, Joe, all of Kaukauna.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Haessly; and brother, Gary Haessly.
The funeral liturgy will be at 12 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family extends a special thank you to the Kaukauna Police and Fire Department and to the staff at Appleton Medical Center for their professional and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Dennis' name is being established.

Gary Haessly, 53, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at home. Gary was born on September 19, 1956, to Bernard and Evelyn Haessly in Kaukauna. He worked at the Americinn as a night clerk. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Gary is survived by his mother, Evelyn Haessly, two brothers: Dennis (Mary) Haessly and Dave (Debbie) Haessly, nieces and nephews: Joe, Chris, Mike (Jessica), Sean (Bridgette), Laura and Sarah Haessly, a great-nephew, Aydan, other relatives and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Bernard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010, at 11 a.m. at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH (309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna) with Fr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the Church.

On November 28th, 2014, our beloved newborns, Darling and Mae Haessly, were returned to their Father in Heaven. Their Spirits live on eternally in our hearts. Darling and Mae are preceded in death by their grandfather, Dennis Haessly. They will be dearly missed by their parents, Michael and Jessica Haessly, and their grandparents: Mary Haessly, Sara Smith, Kirk Harvell, and many family and friends.
