    Our beloved father, brother, grandpa and great grandpa, Donald "Monus" Verstegen, age 88, Little Chute, passed away July 10, 2017. He is now at peace with our Lord and his loving wife, Doris and his son, Jim.
    Don was born in Little Chute on November 1, 1928, son of the late George and Marie (Kees) Verstegen. He graduated from Little Chute High School in 1947 and married Doris Muthig on September 6, 1958. Don proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #258 in Little Chute. Don loved to play cards and was involved with several different card clubs through the years. He drove truck for the Appleton Papers Lox Mill for 43 years before his retirement in 1991.
    Don is survived by his children: Jeff Verstegen, Kaukauna; Jolene Verstegen, Little Chute; Judi (John) Wolf, Appleton; Jon Verstegen, Suamico; his grandchildren: Crystal (Cory) Solon, Derek (Valerie) Verstegen, Amy Losselyong, Joshua (Holly), Benjamin & Nicholas Wolf, and Sophia Verstegen; great-grandchildren: McKenzie Gillis, Alaena & Aubrey Wolf and Marlee Verstegen; brothers: Carl and Ross Verstegen; sisters-in-law: Lois Selig and Geneva Muthig; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Don was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; a son, James Verstegen; his parents, George and Marie Verstegen; father and mother-in-law, John and Norma (Doehling) Muthig; brothers and sisters-in-law: Doris Verstegen, Marian Verstegen, Earl Muthig, Sylvester Muthig, Joyce (Robert) Balthazar and Kenneth Muthig; nieces and nephews: Marlene Lyons, Karen Kuchenbecker, Bruce Muthig and Doug Muthig.
    Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 101 Canal Street, Little Chute, with Deacon Bud Klister officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A celebration of Don's life will be held at Hollander's Pub and Grill following the memorial service.     Verstegen, James R. James R. Verstegen, Forest Junction, age 38, died unexpectedly on Sunday M ay 9, 2004 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Jim was born May 15, 19 65 to Donald "Monus" and Doris "Dory" (Muthig) Verstegen in Appleton. He g raduated from Little Chute High School in 1983 and earned an Associates De gree from Fox Valley Technical College in Auto Body. Jim established the o riginal Mom's Cozy Cafe with his Mother in 1986 in Kaukauna. He present ly co-owned and operated Kutters Landscape and Maintenance, Inc. Jim enjoy ed drag racing, riding his Harley, his four dogs and was an avid golfe r. He took great pride in the auto bodywork he did and the restorati on of his Barracuda. He is survived by his parents, Don and Dory; his two brothers: Jeff and h is children, Crystal and Derek and Jon and his daughter, Sophia; two siste rs: Jolene and Randy Losselyong and their daughter: Amy and Judi and Jo hn Wolf and their children: Benji, Nick and Josh (Holly) and their daughte r, Alaena. He will also be greatly missed by his very special frie nd of 18 years, Renee Kriplean and aunts and uncles: Lois Selig, Ross a nd Marion Verstegen, Carl Verstegen and Geneva Muthig. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: George and Marie Verste gen, maternal grandparents: John and Norma Muthig, and aunts and uncles: S ylvester, Earl and Kenneth Muthig and Robert and Joyce Balthazor and Dor is Verstegen. Jim's funeral service will be 5 p.m. on Thursday May 13, at BOETTCHER FAMI LY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiat ing. Friends will be received on Thursday at the Funeral Home from 1 p. m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in St. John's Ceme tery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. T he Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. 766-20 99.
