Jane (nee Casey) Schmidt, of Menasha, age 74, was swept away peacefully to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 12, 2013, with her loved ones by her side. She was born on March 28, 1939, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Baeten) Casey. Jane graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1957. She worked for many years at Mike's Towne & Country, and retired in 2001 from Piggly Wiggly. Family meant the world to Jane; in her earlier years with her mother and sisters, and then the wonderful times with her granddaughter and great granddaughter.

She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Schmidt; and sisters: Judy (Jim) Koch and Pat Rabideau; and her dog, Buffy.
