    Donald J Laux, Sr. age 88, of Newark, Texas, passed away Monday morning, October 19, 2015. He was born March 6, 1927, to the late Gordon and Rose (Garrity) Laux, Sr., Appleton, Wisconsin.
    After high school in Appleton, Donald joined the Merchant Marines. In 1951 he joined the Air Force and retired after 20 years. Donald then settled in Texas and worked for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and General Dynamics until his retirement in 1990. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing poker with friends at the local VFW Post 10374; where he held various volunteer positions; his last as a Trustee. Donald was an avid reader and enjoyed discussions on current events and politics.
    Donald is survived by his wife of 42 years, Yoko Laux, who lovingly cared for her husband at home, three children, Donald, Jr (Barbara) Laux, Wild Rose, Debra McMullen, Menasha, and Tammy (Bob) Nelson, Oshkosh. Five grandchildren, Chad, Dawn, Andrea, Jennifer and Melissa, ten great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild. He is further survived by 4 brothers, David (Judy) Laux, Menasha, Gordon (Lois) Laux, Mexico, Joe (Pam) Laux, Florida, and John Laux, Appleton. Two sisters, Mary (Tom) Murphy, Freedom, Kathy (Larry) Fondow, Appleton, a sister-in-law Carmen Laux, Arizona and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Patrick Laux, Randolph (Emily) Laux, and a sister, Bonita (Cliff) Damro and nephews, James (Judy) Laux, Mark Damro.
    The memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home, 100 S. Ewing, Boyd, Texas on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Father Mathew Kavipurayidam officiating. Following the service at 1:00 p.m. interment will be in Dallas/Forth Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.

    Bonita M. "Bunny" Damro, age 85, Little Chute, died Saturday September 21, 2013 at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born on July 26, 1928, to the late Gordon and Rose Laux. Bunny married her soul mate Clifford "Cliff" Damro on July 16, 1947 at St. Therese Parish in Appleton. They celebrated 50 years together before his death on February 8, 2002. Bunny devoted her life to taking care of others, her children, her mother-in-law and her husband. She cherished the time spent with her children, grandkids and great grandkids. Bunny treasured the memories made at the cottage and then Gulf Shores, AL.
    Bunny is survived by her daughter Kathy (Rich) Callan, Little Chute; sons: Dick (Joy), Green Forest AR, Paul (friend Susan), Kimberly; and Cliff, Little Chute; grandchildren: Heather Callan, Katie (Joe) Ornstein, Lucy (Brian), Peterson, Dave (Shar) Damro, John Damro, Amy (Andy) Vanderloop, Molly (Luke) Hietpas and Mandy (friend Zach) Damro; great grandchildren: Cooper, Owen and Amelia Ornstein, Mackenzie, Mason and Miles Peterson, Olivia and Avery Damro, Reese Vanderloop, with another Vanderloop great grandson on the way; sisters: Mary (Tom) Murphy, Kathy (Larry) Fondow; brothers: Randy (Emily), Dave (Judy), Joe (Pam) and John Laux; and sisters-in-law: Carmen Laux and Ione Kobussen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to her parents and husband, Bunny was preceded in death by her son Mark; her brother Pat; father and mother-in-law Paul and Irma Damro; and brother-in-law Karl Kobussen.
    Visitation will be held Tuesday September 24, 2013 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Msgr.
