    Marvin H. Schroeder, age 96, passed away at Grand Horizons West in Appleton on Saturday, June 5, 2010. He was born in Appleton on August 13, 1913, the son of the late Benhardt and Minnie (Lasch) Schroeder. On August 12, 1939, he married Helen Meyer. She preceded him in death in 2004. Marvin was proud to serve in Europe during WWII. He was a salesperson at Automotive Supply Company in Appleton for 48 years. He enjoyed tinkering with engines and helping others by fixing their cars and other tasks around the home.
    Marvin is survived by his children: Susan Schroeder of Menasha, Tom (Chris) Schroeder of Cumberland, WI, and Mark (Wanda) Schroeder of Neenah; grandchildren: Steve (Jill) Schroeder, Jill Brillhart, and Paul Johnson; great-grandchildren: Neleh, Katelin, Cole, and Riley; sisters: Adaline Marschner, Evangelyn Marschner, and Dorie (Doug) Moericke; and brother-in-law, Jan Sedivy.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; brothers: Clarence (Lucille) Schroeder, Bernard (Dee) Schroeder, and Bobby Schroeder; sisters: Edna (Howard) Sedo, Elda (Frank) Van Toll, Janetta (Herb) Zeller, and Bonnie Jean (Ken) Landskron; and brothers-in-law: Edward Marschner and Albert Marschner.
    The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
    The family extends a special thank you to the staffs at Grand Horizons West and Heartland Hospice for their kindhearted care.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Marvin's name is being established.

    Edna M. Sedo, 90, formerly of Eagle River died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Saint Clare's Hospital in Weston. Edna was born August 12, 1915 in Black Creek to the late Ben & Minnie (Laasch) Schroeder. She married Howard Sedo on September 4, 1937 in Appleton, he died Dec. 14, 2002. Edna retired from Kresge's in Neenah in 1980. She and Howard had been founding members of S.E.R.V.E. in Eagle River and active in the organization.

    Kaukauna - Adaline Anna Marschner, age 99, died peacefully on Monday, July 30, 2018 at St Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna with her family at her side.
    Adaline was born on August 25, 1918 in the town of Grand Chute a daughter of the late Benjamin and Minnie (Lasch) Schroeder. Adaline was united in marriage to Edward Marschner on December 16, 1939 at St Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton. Adaline and Edward farmed for most of their married life. She was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother to their six children. Adaline was also a faithful member of Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church of Appleton.
    Adaline is lovingly survived by her six children, Judith Kaeppel and June Marschner, both of Waukesha; Robert Marschner, Appleton; Faith Marschner, Appleton; Janice (Kenneth) Cornwell, Sheboygan; Karen (Todd) Johnson, Appleton; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Laura, Katrina, Carole, Cliff, Cheryl, Christopher, Gregory and Corrie and by 19 great-grandchildren and a sister, Doris Moericke, Appleton; She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 2001, a granddaughter, Jeanine, and by nine siblings, Clarence, Bud, Robert, Marvin Schroeder, Edna Sedo, Elda Van Toll, Janetta Zeller, Evangeline Marschner and Bonnie Jean Landskron, two sons-in-law, John Kaeppel and Jerry Steidl and a daughter-in-law, Nicole Marschner.
    The funeral service for Adaline will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church 136 W Seymour Street, Appleton with the Rev. Dennis Belter officiating. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum, Appleton. Adaline's family will receive relative and friends at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established for Riverview Lutheran Church or St Paul Elder Services.

    Evangelyn "Van" Marschner, 94 of Appleton died Tuesday June 9, 2015 at St. Paul Nursing Home. She was born in Appleton June 13, 1920, daughter of the late Bernhardt and Minnie (nee' Lasch) Schroeder. Van married Albert Marschner Sr on December 16, 1939. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1998.
    Van worked at the Appleton Kmart for many years, she was one of the very first employees hired after it opened. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Appleton. Van enjoyed listening to classic country-western music, watching her favorite TV shows, and she especially enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Van is survived by her four children. Daughter Marilyn (Glen) Baird, Combined Locks, Kenneth (Becky), Sun City, AZ, Merlin, St. Louis, MO, and Albert Jr; West Bend, WI; two sisters, Adaline Marschner, Appleton, and Doris "Dory" Moericke, Appleton. She is further survived by six Grandchildren, twelve Great-Grandchildren, four Great-Great-Grandchildren, and her many special friends. Van is further preceded in death by her Grandson, David Kenneth Marschner; four sisters, and four brothers.
    Funeral service for Van will be 11:00 AM on Saturday June 13, 2015 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Brian Bankert officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

    Keith A. "Stretch" Landskron, age 37, of Appleton, died unexpectedly, Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2005. He was born July 11, 1967, in Appleton, to Kenneth R. and Bonnie J. (Schroeder) Landskron. Keith had formerly been employed by Walgreens Health INI.
    Survivors include his mother, Bonnie J. (Schroeder) Landskron, Menasha; three sisters: Barbara (Richard) Gabrielson, Bear Creek; Sheila Schmidt, Appleton; Diane (Thomas) Nelson, Appleton; nieces and nephews: Michael (Melissa) Gabrielson, Kathy (Lonnie) Jepson, Sgt. Jeffrey (Nikki) Gabrielson, Darrel Schmidt, Rebecca Schmidt (Goddaughter), Jennifer Nelson and Joe Nelson; a great-niece, Kaytlin Gabrielson and two great-nephews, Bryce Jepson and Lewis Jepson; a close friend, Richard Martin, Jr.; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth R. Landskron.
    Funeral services for Keith will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Wednesday, until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.

    Joseph D. Nelson, age 22, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on April 28, 1989, the son of Thomas Nelson and Diane (Landskron) Nelson. On Sunday, May 15, Joe earned his Associate's Degree in Printing and Publishing from Fox Valley Technical College. Joe enjoyed disc golfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, going to the cabin in Florence County, time spent with family and friends, and playing with his beloved nephew, Evan. He was a lovable, laid-back, easygoing person.
    He will be sadly missed by his parents: Thomas Nelson and Diane Nelson, both of Appleton; his sister, Jennifer (Kyle) Roberts, Appleton; his very special nephew and Godson, Evan Roberts; grandparents, Donald and Ruth Nelson, Neenah; aunts and uncles: Barb (Rick) Gabrielson, Bear Creek, Sheila Schmidt, Menasha, Angela (Johnny) Schneider, Cecil, Debby (Bill) Schueler, Neenah; several cousins, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Bonnie Landskron, and his uncle, Keith Landskron.
    The Christian Funeral Service for Joe will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (601 E. Glendale Ave.) with Rev. Matt Ruesch officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 3 p.m. until the hour of service directly at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
