    Uhlenbrauck, Laurinda V.
    Laurinda, age 88, of New London, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 03, 2007, at New London Family Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1918, in Green Valley, daughter of the late Herman and Augusta (Braun) Peters. She married Gilbert J. Uhlenbrauck, June 30, 1948, in Black Creek, sharing 33 years together before his death April 26, 1982. Laurinda enjoyed gardening, flowers, walking and bowling. She was also known as the "book lady" while volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul in Appleton for many years.
    Laurinda is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Donna Uhlenbrauck of Appleton and Phyllis (Donald) Haugen of Menomonee Falls; and three grandchildren: Brent Uhlenbrauck, Mathew Haugen and Nathan Haugen.
    She was preceded in death by two brothers: Sylvester and Floyd; and four sisters: Evelyn Kiehnau, Eleanor Zibell, Verna Hameister and Verona Lambie.
    Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Black Creek, with the Rev. John Brandt officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association.
    The family would like to express a special thank you to St. Joseph Residence of New London, and Fox River Assisted Living (Memory Care) for the wonderful care Laurinda received while a resident.
