McGlin, Irene A.
Irene A. McGlin, age 86, of Black Creek, passed away Thursday evening, February 15, 2007, at the Franciscan Care Center in Appleton. She was born January 26, 1921, the daughter of the late Henry and Eva (Dickoff) Koepke. On August 24, 1939, she was united in marriage to LeRoy McGlin. He preceded her in death May 31, 1994. Since their marriage they have resided in Black Creek and Irene spent the last 48 summers on Shawano Lake. She enjoyed time spent with family and her annual trips to Florida.
She is survived by her two sons: Bruce (Martha) McGlin, Chicago; and Jim McGlin, Cecil; also, one daughter, Karen (Gary) Uhlenbrauck, Black Creek; her seven grandchildren: Greg, Brian, Jim and Billy McGlin; Sara (Zeus) Flores, Rob (Jessie Gritt) Uhlenbrauck, Sheila Uhlenbrauck; five great-grandchildren: MiKayla, Truett, Statten, Riley and Ian. She is further survived by one brother-in-law, and three sisters-in-law: Don and Verna McGlin, Pat McGlin, Mary Jane McGlin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, one brother, and four brothers-in-law.
Friends may call at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek, on Monday, February 19, 2007, from 4 p.m. until the funeral services at 7 p.m., with Pastor Stephen Schlicht officiating. The burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
