    Obituary:
LeRoy J. Vissers, 55, of De Pere, passed away December 4, 2003, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 6, 1948, in Green Bay to Robert and Jeannette (VandenHeuvel) Vissers. After graduating from Abbot Pennings High School in 1966, LeRoy joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was discharged as a decorated veteran. Following his discharge, he married the former Kathryn Reinkober on September 18, 1971, in Chilton, Wis. They celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary this past year. LeRoy worked with Western Electric until 1982 and has worked for the City of De Pere for the past 20 years. He enjoyed sharing laughs with his large family, golfing, wood crafting and the outdoors. He also treasured the time he spent with his family at the beautiful cabin he built from the ground up. He was a constant inspiration to all who crossed his path, and his zest for life lives on with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; three daughters and one son-in-law, Angela and Andrew Nelson, Sheboygan Falls, Mollie, Milwaukee and Amanda, De Pere. He also was proudly awaiting the birth of his first grandchild in July. He is survived by four brothers, Paul (Janet), Mark (Ann), De Pere, Gary (Dell-Lyn), Martin (Pam), Green Bay; and five sisters, Bev (Pat) Hart, Barbara (Tom) Van Beek, Bonnie (Tom) Renkens, Mary Jo (John) Krohn, De Pere and Bernie (Chris) Zwettler, Madison. He is also survived by one foster brother, David (Jean) BeBeau, De Pere and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Jeannette Vissers, his wife's parents, Vincent and Edna Reinkober, one brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Mary Vissers, one brother-in-law, Patrick Wood, one nephew, Joseph Van Beek, and great niece, Mollie Brittnacher.
