News Mention:
John Creviere, editor of the DePere Journal - Democrat and former Kaukaunan, came back here this week to find out if he was born. His findings: It's true, He was. It took a little doing before John could prove his point to the Social Security office at Green Bay. "I was born on August 14, 1886 when St. Mary's church was being organized by several missionary priests. At the time of my marriage the diocese found a record of my baptism, and now they are unable to locate it again." A call to the register of deeds at the County Courthouse revealed that the record showed a child born to the Crevieres on that date but it did not specify son or daughter.
