    2915 N. Meade St., AppletonAge 80, died Monday, February 25, 2002 at Franciscan Care Center, Appleto n. She was born July 7, 1921 in Appleton, Wisconsin; the daughter of the l ate Daniel and Erna (Kuehnl) Boldt. Geraldine married Virgil Ebben in 194 3, he preceded her in death in 1963. In 1964 she married Calvin "Chuck" Wi lson, they spent their retirement years at Chute Pond in Mountain, Wiscons in. Chuck preceded her in death in 1997. She had been a member of Zion Lut heran Church, Appleton until recently becoming a member of Peace United Me thodist Church, Kaukauna. Geraldine is survived by her three sons and t wo daughters-in-law: Leon (Sharon) Ebben, Kaukauna; David (Debbie) Ebbe n, Florida; Dennis Ebben, Kaukauna; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Cha rlotte (Dennis) Vanderloop, Dundas; Deborah (Bill) Kraemer, Kaukauna; 11 g randchildren: Carey (Colleen) Vanderloop, Brian Vanderloop, Chris and Er ik Kraemer, Jeff (Lisa) Ebben, Gary (Becky) Ebben, Stacy (Brandon) Bonnel l, Carol and David Ebben, Andy and Tyler Ebben; and five great-grandchildr en. She is further survived by two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Dani el (Corinne) Boldt, Manitowoc; Dick (Linda) Boldt, Stevens Point; three si sters and two brothers-in-law: Doris Thomas, Appleton; Laverne (Jim) Tetzl aff, Appleton; Carol (Geno) Smith, Menasha; and numerous nieces and nephew s. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil; her second husba nd, Chuck; a brother, Roggie Boldt; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ja ne (Bill) Podell; and a brother-in-law, Tom Thomas. The funeral service wi ll be at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2002 at Peace United Methodist Chur ch, Kaukauna with Rev. Diane Rew-Gottfried officiating. Burial wi ll be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call directly at ch urch from 2 p.m. Thursday until the time of services. In lieu of flower s, a memorial fund has been established in her name. The Boettcher Fami ly Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.

    Doris Boldt Thomas, age 91, died peacefully with her six children at her side on July 12, 2014 in Muskegon, MI. She now resides in glory with her heavenly father. Doris was born on February 13, 1923 to the late Daniel and Erna (Kuhnel) Boldt. She was born and raised in Appleton where she lived for 80 years. Doris was the wife of Lawrence (Tom) Thomas to whom she was married for 42 years. She worked for Younkers for 40 years. After Doris retired at the age of 80, she moved to Muskegon, MI to live closer to her daughters. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rockford, MI.
    Doris was survived by her six children: Barb Dahlke, Randy (Pauline) Thomas, Thomas Thomas, Scott (Linda) Thomas, Robert Thomas, and Robin Thomas; her adopted son: Daniel Pagel; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother: Dick (Sandy) Boldt and sister: Laverne (Jim) Tetzlaff. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers: Rodger and Daniel (Corrine) Boldt; sisters: Janie (Bill) Podoll, Carol (Gene) Smith, and Geraldine (Chuck) Wilson; and son-in-law Mark Dahlke.
    A Funeral Service for Doris will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 19, 2014, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, N2497 French Rd, Freedom. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 9 AM until time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

    Carol B. Smith, age 75, of Menasha passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Prairie Homes with her family at her side. She was born on January 19, 1938 in Appleton, daughter of the late Daniel and Erna (Keuhnl) Boldt. She was a graduate of Appleton West High Schoool. On April 12, 1958 she married Eugene R. Smith at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. The marriage was blessed with 55 years, four daughters, and one son. Carol was very talented musically, she played the piano, harmonized, and her voice could make a person cry. She was a very good cook and baker, and loved to share her amazing carrot cake with family and friends. Above all else, Carol loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren near and far.
    She will be sadly missed by her husband, Eugene; her daughters: Merrie C. (Dean) Weyenberg, Canton, GA, Stacey J. (Moxy Krieck) Kempen, Suring, Jill J. (Stan) Traxler, Neenah; her son, Rocklyn R. Smith, Menasha; grandchildren: Michelle Weyenberg, Dana (Erik) Mork, Amara Melchert, Sean (Katie) Miller-Smith, McKenzie and Dillon Kempen, Damian Smith, Madison Smith, Valorie Bacon; great grandchildren: Landon Mork, McKenzie Melchert; sisters: LaVern (Jim) Tetzlaff, Appleton, Doris Thomas, Michigan; a brother, Richard (Sandy) Boldt, Arizona; many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Gina; sisters: Mary Jane Podoll, Geraldine Wilson; brothers: Daniel O Boldt, Roger Boldt.
    The Funeral Service for Carol will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church of Menasha (473 7th Street) with Rev. Jon Gallatin officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service directly at the church. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for St. Timothy Lutheran Church.
