Obituary:
Carol A. Jansen, age 73, of Kaukauna, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born on January 27, 1941, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Anton and Lucille (Laux) Ashauer. Carol graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1959. She was employed as a CNA at St. Paul Elder Services for 18 years. Carol was a member of St. Katharine Drexel - St. Aloysius Church. Cross-stitching, and watching mystery and old movies were some of her interests. Many people knew Carol by her infectious laugh and her outgoing personality.
She will be missed by her children: Jennifer (Ron) Tennessen of DePere, Jeff (Jamie) Jansen of Kaukauna, and Joy (Michael) Jansen-Phillips of Milwaukee; grandchildren: Prestin and Spencer Tennessen; brothers: Eugene "Gene" (Margaret), John "Jack" (Ione), and Thomas "Tom" (Kathy) Ashauer, all of Kaukauna. Carol is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Ashauer; brothers, Leon "Lee" (Carol) and James "Jim" (Carol) Ashauer; and a granddaughter, Alexandria "Crash" Jansen.
The funeral liturgy for Carol will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 24, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL - ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH, 2401 Main Avenue in Kaukauna. Fr. Jerry Pastors will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of mass.
