Greuel, Virginia M. "Ginny"
Virginia "Ginny" M. Greuel, 80, New Holstein, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at her residence. She was born March 15, 1928, in Chilton, a daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Schaefer) Vogel. On Oct. 22, 1947, she married Alfred Greuel at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1982. Ginny was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, and the Christian Women's Society. She also was a member of the Catholic Knights. Ginny volunteered at the Salvatorian Mission Warehouse for several years.
Survivors include her four children, Carol (Gary) Maynard, Menasha; Evelyn (Stephen) Baus, Columbus, Wis.; Sharon Hagenow, Kiel; and Michael (Pamela) Greuel, Auburn, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Machut, Plymouth; and Mary Ellen (Melvin) Greuel, Elkhart Lake "St. Anna".
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Alfred; a brother, Raymond Vogel; and two sisters, Helen Duchow and Dolores Wagner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. The Rev. Harold Berryman, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Ave., New Holstein, on Sunday (Today) Oct. 5, 2008, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and again at the funeral home Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. when brief family rites will be held at the funeral home.
