    Leila V. E. Kromer (Schurr) entered her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at Parkside Care Center. Leila was born on Dec. 20, 1919, in Two Rivers, the daughter of the late Herman and Caroline (Tessmer) Schurr. She was baptized March 11, 1920, at home in Manitowoc, by Pastor Karl Machmuller. On Feb. 24, 1943, she was married to Lloyd W. Tome. While Lloyd was serving his country in Germany during World War II, he met with his Savior Jesus on April 24, 1945.
    Leila married Arthur G. Kromer on Feb. 26, 1949, at St. John's in Two Rivers. She met Art while working at Hamilton Mfg. In 1953, they moved to Kaukauna, Art's hometown. Leila worked at Kaukauna Community Hospital until her retirement in 1981. Art and Leila spent many happy winters in Florida after retirement. Their three daughters and families were able to enjoy winter vacations with them. Art preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2008.
    Leila is survived by three daughters, Beryl (Donald) Barker, Appleton; Kay (Ron) Peters, Appleton; and Kim (Rev. Roger) Holtz, Kaukauna; five grandchildren, Tim and Tyler Reynolds, Michelle (Greggory) Jahnke, Adam (Kelly) Holtz and Marie (Dr. Ryan) MacPherson; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Ronald Jahnke, Grace Emma and Rose Marie MacPherson; and sister-in-law, LaVerne
    Goetzman. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to Art, Leila was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace (Wilbert) Luebke and Dorothy (Carlos) Froemming.
    Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral at 11 a.m. at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH (804 Grignon St. Kaukauna). The Rev. Karl Schultz will officiate. Committal Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Kaukauna.
    A memorial is being established in Leila's name.
