Obituary:
Glen W. Spaulding, 87, of Hortonville, died Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Vallhaven Care Center in Neenah. He was born on June 12, 1917 in Shiocton, son of the late George & Grace (McHugh) Spaulding. On October 17, 1938, he was united in marriage to Bernice Nitzske. They shared 61 years together. She preceded him in death in 2000. Glen formerly worked for Schultz Sand & Gravel and then Courtney & Plummer until his retirement. He loved fishing and polka dancing.
He is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Marcia) Spaulding, Hortonville; Gordon (Donna) Spaulding, Greenville; Robert (Lynn) Spaulding, Black Creek; 10 grandchildren, Rhonda (Steve) Ashman, Renee (Mark) Schubart, Chad Spaulding, Travis Spaulding, Shauna (Ryan) Schleihs, Jared Spaulding and friend Sarah Riehl, Stacey Spaulding, Sandee (Ty) Cornell, Sharee (Chad) Bock, Ryan Spaulding. 11 great grandchildren, Rhett and Raissa Ashman, Kai, Kenny, and Raquel Schubart, Katie and Trevor Spaulding, Jordan Lemerande, Drake and Eden Schleihs, Tayja Cornell.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Eugene and Donald, one sister Gladys and one great-grandson Rillian.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hortonville. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Hortonville. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
