    RACINE - Mrs. Ruth (nee: Knudsen) Ebben, 83, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born in Racine on February 17, 1921, to the late Elmer and Minnie (nee: Resong) Knudsen. She was united in marriage to Peter Ebben Jr. on November 6, 1947, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1986. She was employed at Voorlass Manufacturing Company. She attended Atonement Lutheran Church and she was a former member of Souls Harbor Open Bible Church. She is survived by four children, Peter Ebben III of Jacksonville, N.C., Patricia and Peter J. Burbach Jr. of Sturtevant, Timothy and Bonnie Ebben of Racine, and Gary and Terrie Ebben of Racine; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; special friends, Al and Vi Winkler of Sturtevant and Lorraine Kind of Racine; many other dear friends and relatives; and special neighbors, Gaastra and Noe families. Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1212 Lathrop Avenue, on Thursday, September 23, 2004, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Warren Williams officiating. Internment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. and at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 until 10 a.m. Thank you to St. Mary's third floor staff for their care and compassion.
