    Obituary:
    Edward Nicholas Mirsberger passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012. He was born on September 19, 1921 in St. John, town of Woodville, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Kees) Mirsberger. He graduated from St. John the Baptist Catholic School.
    In 1946, he married Marion Giesen at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert. Ed and Marion celebrated 63 years of marriage before Marion preceded Ed in death on June 9, 2009.
    Ed and Marion operated a dairy farm; Ed served as an officer in the Holstein Breeder's Association and the Calumet County Dairy Herd Improvement Association. After farming, Ed worked as a substitute mail carrier, a machinist with Tecumsch, and retired after serving 15 years as the head custodian for the Hilbert Public Schools. Ed served the Town of Woodville as an elected supervisor and a member of its land planning commission.
    After Ed's retirement, he and Marion volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the Salvatorian Center, St. Joe's Pantry, and Habitat for Humanity. Ed and Marion belonged to St. John the Baptist parish and later the consolidated St. John Sacred Heart parish where Ed served on the school board during the consolidation process.
    Ed enjoyed teaching youth religion classes, serving as a Eucharistic minister and lectern, and singing with the choir. Ed and Marion cared for the church facilities for many years; they enjoyed decorating the church and opening the doors for masses and weddings. Selecting, delivering, and setting up the Christmas trees was Ed's favorite project for many years. Ed belonged to the Tri-Parish Council Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight.
    Ed is survived by six of his children: James (Eileen) Mirsberger of Burlington, Sue Mirsberger of Menasha, Fay (Michael) Mignone of Virginia, Thomas (Rita) Mirsberger of Hilbert, Jane (Joseph) Bauer of Hilbert, Clare (James) Putman of Green Bay; and his grandchildren: Shanthi (David) Henriksen, and their sons Andrew and Gavin, John (Safiya) Mirsberger and their children Hadiya, Alma, Shei, and Mei, Heather (Christian) Woods and their children Luke and Kendall, Michael Mignone, Niles (Bonnie) Mirsberger and their sons Riley and Nathan, Noah (Christina) Mirsberger and their daughter Emma, Nolan Mirsberger, David (Trish) Bauer and their children Cailyn and Joseph, Molly and Jon Mares, Matthew Bell, Victoria Bell, Melanie Putman; his brother Robert (Julie) Mirsberger of New York and sister-in-law: Bernadette Giesen of Hilbert.
    He was preceded in death by his wife Marion Mirsberger; parents: Mary and Joseph; his infant daughter: Anne; his infant grandson: Nate Mirsberger; his brother: Joseph (Helen) Mirsberger, his sisters: Verena (Joseph) Rossmeier, Armella (John) Doherty and Sister Helen Mirsberger. His brother-in-law: Donald Giesen; his parents-in-law: Hubert and Anna (Kloeppel) Giesen.
    Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. John Catholic Church in St. John with the Rev. Michael Betley and Rev. Ken Frozena officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, October 22, 2012 and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Rosary and Vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm on Monday evening at the funeral home.

    Thomas E. "Tom" Mirsberger, age 60, of Hilbert, died on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He was born May 11, 1955 in Appleton, WI, son of the late Edward & Marion (Giesen) Mirsberger. He attendee UW Whitewater and played football for the Warhawks.
    Tom married Rita Lemberger on June 5, 1981 in Hilbert and the couple farmed in the Hilbert area for 25 years. Tom later drove truck for over 10 years.
    Tom was a simple and quiet man who was known to have a wicked sense of humor by his family. In his younger days, he played drums for several bands in the area with many gigs every week. He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren every chance he could.
    Survivors include his wife: Rita; his children: Niles (Bonnie) Mirsberger of Goodhue, MN, Noah Mirsberger of Hilbert, Nolan Mirsberger of Hilbert; 4 grandchildren: Riley, Nathan, Jase & Emma Mirsberger; his mother-in-law: Jackie Lemberger; a very special friend: Fred (Libby) King; and his siblings: James (Eileen) Mirsberger, Sue Mirsberger, Fay (Michael) Mignone, Jane (Joe) Bauer, & Claire (Jim) Puttman. Tom is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Nate Mirsberger; his father-in-law: Robert Lemberger; and a sister: Anne Mirsberger.
    Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Burial will follow in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in St. John. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, October 30, 2015 and on Saturday at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 9:45 am.
