    Jerome F. "Jerry" Miller, Kaukauna, formerly of Little Chute, 78, died Saturday Feb. 28, 2009, at his home with family present. He was born in Appleton on July 18, 1930 to the late Alfred Miller and Loretta (Frahm) Miller Wilkum. Jerome married Marie Vande Burgt at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute on May 21, 1949.
    Jerome is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie; children, Terrance, Kaukauna; Linda (Lawrence) Mitchell, Kaukauna; James (Sally), Little Chute; Peggy (William) Haanen, Sherwood; Susan (Dennis) Rooyakkers, Kaukauna; Vickie (Special friend Rob), Kaukauna; Jan Vosters, Kaukauna; Mary (Rene) Petit, Kaukauna; Margie Bartels, Kaukauna; Thomas (Julie), Combined Locks; Karla Arnoldussen, Appleton; and Kim (Benjamin) Charles, Appleton; grandchildren, TerryLynn, Keith, Elly, Chad, Todd, Jesse, Amanda, Judd, Amber, Nicole, Ryan, Eric, Sarena, Jamie, Sean, Aaron, Kelly, Bruce, Sara, Jenna, Brock, Chasidy and Christy; step-grandchildren: Shelly, Julie, Mary, Michael, Thomas, David, Karen, Krista, Jason and Steve; great-grandchildren, numerous and still growing; brothers and sisters, Alfred (Betty), Bernard (Elaine), Earl (Nancy), Rita (Delbert) Klingbiel, Edward; step brothers and sister, Yvonne (Don) Bolter, Les (Mary) Wilkum and Lee D. (Rose) Wilkum; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Bertha (Howard) Brux, Adrian (Pat) Vande Burgt, Theresa Eiting, Martin (Mary) Vande Burgt, Betty (Harvey) Schroeder and Barb (LaVern) Steinberg. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Lorretta Miller Wilkum, Alfred Miller and Clarence Wilkum; daughter-in-law, Rosa Miller; grandson, Brett Rooyakkers; brothers, Herman and Robert; father and mother-in-law, Martin and Hendricka Vande Burgt; and sisters-in-law, Elaine Miller, Margaret Vande Burgt and Regina Williamson.
    Jerome worked at Consolidated Paper Mill for approximately 30 years, until 1982, and witnessed the construction of the College Avenue bridge. His goal was to see the completion of the new bridge. He also held multiple part-time jobs, the last of which was at Lieber Lumber.
    Jerome loved his 12 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and visiting neighbors young and old on his scooter. Jerome also enjoyed summers at Pelican Lake with his family and friends, spending time in Wild Rose at his summer home, and then becoming a Snow Bird in Arizona for the winters. He and his jokes and pranks will be greatly missed.
    Visitation will be held Thursday March 5, 2009, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 2 p.m. until time of Funeral at 5 p.m. Committal St. John Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
    The family would like to give special thanks to Affinity Hospice and the staff at Aurora pharmacy on Calumet for all the tender care they have given to their father.

    Terry's life journey ended with his family at his side on Monday, February 6, 2017. Even though he is gone from the earthly world, we find comfort in knowing his suffering is over.
    He was born in Little Chute on March 10, 1951, son of Jerome and Marie "Mickey" Miller. On March 2, 1973, he was united in marriage to Rosa "Linda" Shuckhart, who preceded him in death in 2003.
    Terry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing immensely, but his primary joy in life was spending time with and teasing his 2 granddaughters. Terry had a passion for solving puzzles and any brain teasing games he could get his hands on. He grew up and attended school in Little Chute, served in the army during the Vietnam War, and was later employed by Thilmany Paper Co. Terry was the type to always be there to lend a helping hand when family and neighbors needed it, especially with outside work.
    Surviving family members include his very loving and supportive daughter and son in law; Terry "Squeaky" and Jason Braeger; his mother, Marie "Mickey" Miller; his granddaughters: Marissa Braeger and Brianna Braeger, all of Kaukauna. Other survivors include his siblings: Linda (Larry) Mitchell, Appleton, James (Sally) Miller, Little Chute, Peggy (William) Haanen, Mountain, Susan (Dennis) Rooyakkers, Keshena, Vickey (Rob Martzahl) Miller, Kaukauna, Jan Vosters, Kaukauna, Mary (Rene) Petit, Kaukauna, Margie (Kurt Meyer) Bartels, Kaukauna, Tom (Julie) Miller, Combined Locks, Karla (Scott) Paulan, Pardeeville, Kim (Ben) Charles, Appleton; his In-Laws: Mary (Dale) Arnoldussen, Agnes (Dennis) Hietpas, Margaret Hoehne, Glen Frank, Juanita DeBruin, Joyce Boardman, Leola Lodas, Edith Becker, Dan Haring, Donald (Joan) Shuckhart. Terry will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
    Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rosa "Linda" Miller; his father, Jerome F. Miller; a nephew, Brett Rooyakkers; his mother in law, Lorraine Shuckhart; brothers-in-law: Harold Shuckhart, John DeBruin, and Gary Hoehne; sister-in-law, Marie Frank. Other deceased in laws include: Myrtle Hoks, Raymond Shuckhart, Richard Shuckhart, Ernie Shuckhart, Juanita (Chester) Guyette, Doris Hoertsch, Marge Kunstman, Dorothy Haring and Robert Richter.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday evening directly at the church from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass at 11:00. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Terry's name. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
