Obituary:
Isabelle T. Elgeti, 91, formerly of the Town of Washington, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Menasha. Isabelle was born April 2, 1917, to the late John and Elsie (Riehl) Tremmel at Appleton. In 1937, she married Howard Elgeti in Milwaukee where they lived until they retired in 1975 and moved to Shawano. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1985.
Isabelle was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Cecil where she was President of the Ladies Guild. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 392 of Cecil, a member of the XYZ Club of Cecil and the Golden Agers of Shawano.
She is survived by a sister, Florence Bentle of Hortonville; nephew, Robert (Donna) Bentle, Hortonville; nieces: Jean (Gavino) Martinez, Appleton; Sharon (Joe) Stilp, Shiocton; nephews: David Hartsworm, Shiocton; Jeff (Karen) Hartsworm, Appleton; numerous great-nieces and nephews. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; two brothers, Earl and George Hartsworm; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Cecil with Rev. Moria Finley officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
A very special thanks to the staff of Oak Ridge Gardens from the family for their kind and loving care of Isabelle.
