    Obituary:
Daniel "Dan" G. Chosa, Sr., 70, Algoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He had waged a 15 year battle with heart disease before succumbing. Dan was born on September 18, 1942, the son of the late Garth and Alma (Baeten) Chosa. Dan married his wife, Barbara (Keinonen), on May 1, 1976, in Kaukauna.
Dan was a 1961 graduate of Kaukauna High School. He worked at Thilmany Paper in Kaukauna, various construction companies, Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay and Monarch Ware in Algoma where he enjoyed driving his "big rig" carrying Nesco products.
Dan enjoyed going to the cabin, hunting, fishing and just going for rides in his truck. The times he was able to be at the cabin with his sons and friends were very special to Dan and were highlighted by sighting deer, black bear and wild turkeys in the yard and while on rides through the woods. He also enjoyed looking out of his patio doors at home and watching the big ships on Lake Michigan along with the antics of the wildlife in his own backyard.
Dan is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Daniel, Jr., of Green Bay and Christopher of Madison; special family member, Joe Deitz; sisters-in-law, Carol Chosa, Kathy Keinonen and Betty (Doug) Akey; nieces, Vicki (Tim) Becker, Kelly (Jason) Briesch and Kim Keinonen; nephews, Rick (Debbie) Chosa and Jody (Julie) Chosa; as well as great-nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Beverly; brother, Robert "Bob" on November 30, 2012; father and mother-in-law, Toby and Irma Keinonen; and brother-in-law, Karl Keinonen.
In accordance with Dan's wishes, there will be a private family gathering. MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, Green Bay is serving the family.
Barb, Dan, Jr. and Chris want to thank the staff of the Jack and Engrid Meng Residence of Unity Hospice for enabling Dan to spend his last days with comfort and dignity. Special thanks to Dr. Amy James for taking fellow Kaukauna natives under her wing and helping us through this difficult time. To Dr. James Rider, Sara Picard (Dan's sweetheart) and all their associates at Cardiology Associates who provided care "above and beyond" for many years, we sincerely express our thanks. Thank you to the 2-South nursing staff of Bellin Hospital who cared for Dan so often this year. You truly are angels. Thanks to everyone at ICS Cutting Tools as well for their support and kindness which allowed us to care for and be with Dan these past six months. We will be forever grateful to our family and friends who gave us love, support and strength.
