Obituary:
Margaret M. Vogl, age 88, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2016, after a brief illness. Margaret was born in Appleton on June 12, 1928, to the late Peire J. and Anna J. (Young) Miller. After graduating at Appleton High School, Margaret worked for a short time at Tuttle Press. On August 22, 1953, she was united in marriage to John J. Vogl at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton. The couple enjoyed 54 years together until John's passing in 2008. Margaret loved cooking, baking, and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She was a former member of South Side Athletic Club and a charter member at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
She will be missed by four daughters: Becky Vogl, Appleton, Margaret Vogl, Appleton, Theresa Vogl, Kimberly, and Dianna (Daryl) Bunnell, Appleton; two sons: John (Mary) Vogl, Kimberly, and Joseph Vogl, Appleton; seven grandchildren: Carl (Carissa) Fronczak, Chad Fronczak, Kelly (Nate) Wagner, Jason Vogl, Michael Vogl, and Jason and Heather Bunnell; four great grandchildren: Nicholas, Zachary, Claira, and Jaiden; two step great grandchildren: Cassandra and Justin; sister, Esther Seegers, Freedom; and sister-in-law, Andrea Miller, Appleton. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David, brothers Lloyd "Jack" (Dolly) Miller and Raymond Miller, two sisters, Irene and Gladys, and a sister-in-law Barbara (Lee) Stierman.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, June 17, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2331 S. Lourdes, with Father Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends and relatives may visit at the church on Friday from 9 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to thank Daryl for the unconditional care, concern, comfort, and love given to mom for the last three years. You made dad proud in heaven and not too many mother-in-law's and son-in-law's share the bond the two of you had. Thank you!
