    CHARLES ENDTER Charles "Endter, 65, died, Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Strobl, 1712 E. Candee-St. He was born in Milwaukee and until 13 years ago, when he moved to this city, he lived at Freedom. Survivors are one son, Joseph, and one daughter. Mrs. Strobl, both; of Appleton; four grandchildren; -iwp brothers, Emil and Fred of-Appleton; and six sisters, .Mrs. Fred Lau and Mrs. George Jacobson, Kaukauna, Mrs. John Miller, Black Greek, Mrs. Louis Stammer, Appleton, Mrs. John Koss,Freedom, and Mrs. Edward Stammer, Seymour., Funeral, prob- ably will be held Monday morning. The body will be taken from the Brettschnelder funeral home, to the Strobl home Saturday afternoon.

    Obituary:
    Eugene D. Stammer, Sr., died at 78 years old on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at his home in Shiocton after a 14 year battle with COPD and Emphysema. He was born December 26, 1934 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Reno and Johanna (Hanus) Stammer. Gene and Pat Hinz were married in Boerne, Texas on December 17, 1955.
    Gene served 13 years in the U.S. Air Force, serving 3 tours in Vietnam and retiring as a Major in the Air Force Reserves. He was a Captain for TWA, retiring after 25 years. His wife Pat and he also owned E-Z Lube on Wisconsin Ave. in Appleton for 23 years. He was a member of Black Creek American Legion Post and the Reserve Officers Association. His greatest enjoyment was moving dirt around with the backhoe and building furniture.
    He is survived by his wife, Pat; his daughter, Melanie Richardson; his son, E. David Stammer Jr.; his granddaughters, Krystal and Katrina Richardson.
    He was preceded in death by his son Jason; his sister Nancy Wilson; his brother Kenneth Stammer.
    Visitation will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, W5125 St. Hwy 156, Navarino, WI 54107 on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 9 a.m. to start of service at 11a.m. Military Honors will take place following the service.

    Shirley, age 90, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born July 17, 1920, in Seymour, daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Meyer) Stammer. She married Edwill W. Murphy August 1, 1939, sharing 57 years together before his death March 17, l997. Shirley was employed by Zwicker Knitting Mills for many years. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Shirley and Ed spent many wonderful years at their home on Legend Lake. She especially enjoyed cooking for family and friends, tending to her flowers and bird watching.
    Shirley is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Mary and Fred Vercauteren, Appleton; three sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald and Barbara Murphy, Appleton; Richard and Roxann Murphy, Woodruff; William and Diane Murphy, Appleton; a sister and brother-in-law: Marlene and William Lopes, Appleton; eight grandchildren; 11 great grand children; a daughter-in-law: Patricia Murphy, Mackville; a sister-in-law: Stella Stammer; special friends, Carol and Lila; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by a son Steven; two brothers: Lyle (Virginia) Stammer and Jim Stammer.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald St., with Rev. James Lukas and Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

    He graduated from Appleton High School in 1956 and served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961, much of that time in Germany.
    Dennis married Carmen Loken of Tigerton, WI 53 years ago on June 29, 1963.
    They have 2 daughters, Rebecca Much (Dino) of Schaumburg, IL (Ian and Ryan) and Barbara Hoyer (Stewart) of Appleton, WI (Lauren and Evan).
    He was employed at Fox River Paper in Appleton for 32 years retiring in 1993. For the past 12 years he worked at Grey Oaks Country Club in Naples.
    A memorial service is planned at First English Lutheran Church - North Site at 6331 N. Ballard Rd., Appleton, WI 54913 on Saturday, July 23rd. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with the memorial service to follow.

    Koehnke, Howard W.: Howard W. Koehnke, of Fremont, age 72, passed away after a lengthy battle with emphysema at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, March 2, 2006.     Richard D. Hiler, 65, of Appleton, passed away on May 27, 2014 at Cherry Meadows Hospice.
    He was born on February 10, 1949 in Appleton to the late Jerome and Beatrice (Endter) Hiler. On July 31, 1997 he was united in marriage to Deborah O'Connell. Richard had a passion for any kind of fishing, hunting in both Wisconsin and Michigan, golfing, and gardening. Above anything else he loved visiting with his grandchildren, which always brought laughter and smiles.
    Richard was loved and will be missed by his wife Debbie, daughters; Michelle (Ross) Widtfeldt and Jamie (Anello) Mollica. Step-children; Stacie (Bob) Stanton, Stephen (Jackie) Shepich and Scott (Shelby) Shepich. Grandchildren; Lyra and Orion Mollica, Lucy and Maria Stanton, and Eric and Tyler Stafford. Brother Jerry (Barb) Hiler, niece Amy Hiler (Dean Voights), and great-niece Miranda Voights.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Per Richard's wishes there will be no services held.

    Koehnke, David P. "Toast" David P. Koehnke, Menasha, age 44, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 31, 2008. He was born September 19, 1963, in Neenah, son of Howard and Luanne (Hoolihan) Koehnke. David served in the U.S. Army for eight years where he was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, Germany and Ft. Lewis in Tacoma, WA. David worked as a mechanic for the Borchert family farm. He was paralyzed following a swimming accident. For the last ten years David overcame many obstacles and was still the center of his family. He enjoyed NASCAR, being at the family cottage and the outdoors, and going for walks with his children.
    Survivors include his four children: Bryan Koehnke, Jennifer Koehnke, Nicole Koehnke and their mother, Anne Birling; Christine Koehnke and her mother, Shelby Koehnke; three grandchildren: Kaylee, Porter and Mary Jane and another granddaughter due in October; his mother, Luanne Nelson; a brother, Bill (Connie) Koehnke; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cat, "T".
    David was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Christine Frank; his grandparents; and his father-in-law, Dennis Meyer Sr.
    Memorial services for David will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2008, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Rev. Stephen Dietzler officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion Post #60 from Kimberly. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.
    The family would like to thank all the people who touched our lives and helped David with his care over the years.

Steven was born Jan. 1, 1983, the son of Jeffrey a nd Karen (Young) Newhouse. He was a 2001, graduate of Appleton East High S chool. Steven loved fishing, was an avid NASCAR and Green Bay Packer fan a nd was a fantastic artist.     Aaron Frank, Appleton, passed away at his home on Saturday afternoon, March 5, 2011. He was born in Abington, Penn., on September 15, 1982, son of Thomas Frank of Appleton, and the late Christine (Koehnke) Frank. Aaron graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His degree was in journalism.
    Aaron was quick-witted and funny, and he was a gifted writer. He authored many writings, including a screenplay. Aaron was also a gifted musician who enjoyed reading and watching classic movies.
    He is survived by his parents, Tom (Diane) Frank, Appleton; five brothers and sisters, Nicholas (Maureen) McLain, Madison; Kelly (Andrew Naughton) McLain, Minneapolis, and their daughters, Estelle and June; Ryan (Sarah) McLain, Chicago; Rachel Frank, Madison; and Allie Frank, at home; his maternal grandmother, Luanne Koehnke Nelson, Appleton; his paternal grandparents, Paul and Irene Frank, Jr., King; and by Diane's father, Edgar Theyerl, and his good friend, Pat.
    Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Christine, in 1991.
    A celebration of Aaron's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at the funeral home chapel, 3212 S. Oneida Street in Menasha. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the hour of the service. Following the service, Aaron will join his mother, Christine, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for an area crisis referral center.
