    Stilp, Sr., John P., NeenahAge 87, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully Fri day, February 6, 2004 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. John was bo rn on June 19, 1916 in Neenah; the son of Carl and Margaret (Tuchschere r) Stilp. John was a lifelong resident of Neenah, leaving only to serve h is country during World War II as a member of the Army Air Corps with t he 57th Bomb Wing from 1942-1945 in the African and Mediterranean Theatr es of operation, flying 50 missions. He was a lifelong member of St. Patri ck Catholic Church, Menasha.John married Ann Guerrini on February 15, 1945. He was employed by Kimber ly Clark Corporation for 45 years; retiring in June 1980. John was a quie t, caring man who approached life with a positive attitude. He loved to tr avel and camp and helped his family create many happy memories doing bot h. His favorite places to visit were San Francisco and the Mackinac Bridg e. After retirement, John and Ann traveled around the United States unt il he suffered a stroke in 1989. His quiet acceptance in facing this adver sity was a testament to his faith and courage, and was an example to every one who met him that we should live life to the fullest, no matter what t he circumstances.John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann; and seven children: Susan K raus, Tustin, CA; John P. (Pam) Stilp, Jr., Milwaukee; Mary Ann (Mark) Str eufert, Neenah; Cathy (Dan) McClone, Menasha; Joseph (Bonnie) Stilp, Shioc ton; Jeffrey (Barbara) Stilp, Neenah; and Jean (Dr. Mark) Bognar, Rhinelan der; two sisters: Margaret Bray, Millbrae, CA; Ruth Haven, Madison; a brot her, Frank Stilp, Neenah; 19 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.The Mass of Resurrection for John will be held at 12 noon Monday, Februa ry 9, 2004 at St. Patrick Church with Rev. Roy Geenen officiating, assist ed by Deacon James Asmuth. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Nee nah. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the ti me of the mass. She was beloved by her brother, Frank Stilp and h er late brother, John and late sister, Ruth Haven and her brother and sist er-in-law, Dick and Marilyn Bray. She also leaves 20 nieces and nephews.Margaret's life really began when she met Bob. Together they traveled to E urope, played golf and enjoyed a frequent game of Bridge. Margaret was a m ember of Cypress Hills, Sharp Park, Harding Park and Presidio Golf Club s. She also was a member of St. Dunstan's Catholic Church in Millbrae, Cal ifornia.Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass that will be held on Fri day, September 15, 2006, at 10 a.m. at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church, 11 33 Broadway, Millbrae, CA 94030. In lieu of flowers, donations may be ma de to your favorite charity. Burial will be private.

    Ruth J. Haven, age 81, Middleton, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2004. S he was born on February 7, 1923, in Neenah, the daughter of Carl Stephen a nd Margarete (Tuchscherer) Stilp. Ruth was united in marriage to Donald Ha ven on May 7, 1949 in Neenah. Ruth was an incredibly happy and kind pers on with many friends throughout her life. Her beautiful smile would warm y our heart and brighten your day. Everyone who met her knew she was someo ne special. She was very adventurous and lived life to the fullest. As a y oung woman she moved to San Francisco and worked in the financial distri ct as a secretary. Soon after moving back to Wisconsin, she met Don, fe ll in love and was blessed with 55 wonderful years of marriage. (Their fir st date was a Packer game and have had season tickets ever since). With th eir four children there were numerous cross country camping trips, and fis hing, boating, water skiing, cook-outs, and bonfires at their lake ho me in Oshkosh. She loved golfing, bowling, playing cards and going to gara ge sales with her friends. Later, she and Don were able to take many tri ps worldwide. Ruth suffered a sudden and severe illness and after four mon ths in the hospital they moved to Middleton to be closer to their childre n. Her strong will, deep faith and family support all helped her recove r. She volunteered throughout her life, even while in Middleton, helpi ng at mealtimes at a homeless shelter. Her favorite thing to do in Madis on was the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.She is survived by her husband, Donald of 55 years; two sons: Greg Have n, Madison; Mark Haven, of San Rafael, California; two daughters: Joan Hav en and Margaret (Roman) Hiebing, all of Madison; a granddaughter, Laura Ro se Hiebing; a sister, Margaret Bray, California and a brother, Frank Stil p, Neenah.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John Stilp.A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 Univer sity Avenue, Middleton at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2004 with Monsign or Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery in Milwa ukee. Bea married Lawre nce Heesakker on October 1, 1949, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menash a. He survives. Bea died as she lived, quietly and peacefully. Bea was a h appy, serene person dedicated to her husband and family. Her trademark beautiful smile lit up the atmosphere, and was inherited by all who knew her. Her husband, children, and grandchildren knew how much they were loved. They were awed by her sweet, gentle nature. Bea was an avid reader a nd an always ready, eager, and happy traveler. She loved music and the art s. Attendance at the Weidner Center in Green Bay and the Performing Arts C enter in Appleton were cherished events.In addition to her husband, Bea is survived by a daughter, Ann Weilan d, of Kimberly, and a son Steve Heesakker, of Shawano, (special friend, A nn Nack), and five grandchildren, Brian Weiland, Jaime (Michael) Reider, N icole Weiland, Tammy Heesakker, and Jodi Heesakker. Further survivors incl ude brothers; Ivan (Margaret) Stilp, of Orlando, Fla., James (Celine) Stil p, of Larsen, Wis., and Gerald (Kathie) Stilp, of Elm Grove, Wis.; brothe rs and sisters-in-law; Emmett (Elinor) Hoks, of Appleton, Agnes Heesakke r, of Kimberly, Margaret Schwaller, of Appleton, and Francis (Stack) and S hirley Heesakker, of Appleton, and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her sister, Georg ianne Hoks, and in-laws, George and Annie Heesakker, Sr. Callista Heesakke r, Loretta and Eugene Harp, Josephine and Joseph Mueller, Dorothy Mae Hees akker, Mary and Bill Van Offeren, and Robert Schwaller.The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at Noon on Saturday, January 22, 20 05, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 Pine Street, Little Chut e, with Msgr. James Vanden Hogen presiding. Inurnment will be in Holy Na me Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Saturday until the ti me of services directly at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fu nd in Bea's name has been established.The family extends very special and sincere thanks to: Dr. Jack Anderson a nd his staff for their genuine concerns and feelings for Bea; the staff a nd volunteers of ThedaCare At Home Hospice for their wonderful care; and t he entire staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice. During the time Bea was with yo u, she was treated as though she was you very own.
