    Roman L. ""Romy"" Hoerth age 86 of 306 S. Military Rd. in Stockbridge died on Saturday July 3, 2004 at his home. He was born March 19, 1918 in Brothertown son of the late Joseph & Mathilda (Karl) Hoerth. Romy married Dolores Heimerl on February 3, 1945 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hilbert. She preceded him in death on December 12, 1994. Roman was the owner and operator of Willow Inn Brant with his parents Joe & Tillie from 1945-1960. He also operated Romy's Tap service from 1949-1980, serving taverns throughout Eastern Wisconsin. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge, a WWII Veteran who served in the Pacific Theater from 1941-1945, a member of the Calumet County VFW Post 3153 where he was also a Past Post Commander & a charter member of the VFW Firing Squad, the Stockbridge American Legion Post 128 where he was also one of the primary organizers. Romy was also on the Firemen Park Corporation and was its first President, a longtime Stockbridge Village Board Member, a retired member of the Stockbridge Volunteer Fire Department, recipient of ""Stockbridge Citizen of the Year"" in 1978, and a charter member of the Stockbridge Harbor Fishing Club. Romy was an Avid sturgeon spearer through 2004, loved deer and bear hunting, fishing, and playing cards. Survivors include 7 children: Susan (Marty) Seckel of Coleman, Mary Muellenback & Special Friend Sande Janagold of Stockbridge, Alice (Casey) Ruliffson of Keezeltown, VA, Janice (Skip) Olson of Stockbridge, Joey Hoerth of Sheboygan, Ann (Rudy) Propson of Stockbridge, Betty (Dick) Schumacher of Stockbridge; special son-in-law: Ron Muellenbach; 19 grandchildren: Allison (Jonethon) Eckles, Barb (Stan) Brown, John Seckel, Cathy (Jason) Propson, Rom Seckel & Fianc?e Ann Malooney, Wendy & Kate Muellenbach, Ann (Ron) Holzer, Tom Muellenbach, Allen & Christine Ruliffson Jason Olson, Emily Olson & Fianc? Dave Vanden Bloomen, Nick, Matt, Jackie & Luke Propson, Kelly, Lori, & Amy Schumacher; 5 great grandchildren: Alex Vanden Bloomen, Will, Ben & Luke Brown, Michael Holzer; and 5 sisters-in-law: Jean Hoerth, Florence Hoerth, Henrietta Knepfel, Sally Lenz & Emma Heimerl. Romy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dolores, a grandson: David Olson; Mother & Father-in-Law: Joe & Mary (Lauer) Heimerl; brothers: Al & Harold ""Blackie"" Hoerth; sisters & brothers-in-law: Helen & Ambrose Propson, Evelyn & Don Smoot; brothers-in-law: Bill Knepfel, Francis Heimerl, Ralph Hemerl & Elmer Lenz; and a sister-in-law: Florence Heimerl. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 6, 2004 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Leander Nickel Officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 3 - 8:00 PM on Monday July 5, 2004 and on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9 - 10:30 AM when family prayers will be held.
