    Obituary:
News came to us of the sudden death of Mr. Patrick Gleason of Glencoe, which occurred Tuesday morning of the present week. The circumstances of his death were very singular. He retired Monday evening in apparently good health, his eldest son enter his room, and found him lying dead in his bed. He is supposed to have died from heart failure disease. An obituary notice will appear next week.
1884 - Republican and Leader, Arcadia, Wis. Mr. Patrick Gleason, an old settler and a respected citizen of Glencoe, died very suddenly, Tuesday morning of last week. The circumstances of his death are very strange. Mr. Gleason had never shown a symptom of disease during his life. He went to bed at night in apparently good health, and as uncomplaining as ever. In the morning, failing to make his appearance at breakfast, his oldest son, Michael Gleason, entered his room, and found him dead. He was struck with amazement upon finding that Mr. Gleason had been speaking with his wife a few moments before, on her leaving his room. Doctor Maurer was immediately called upon, with hope of saving the apparently dead man. The doctor on arriving, examined the body, but could attribute no certain disease as the cause of death if it was not due to a rupture of the blood vessels of the heart or brain. The deceased has been living in Glencoe since the spring of 1860, and has contended with as many struggles of pioneer life, as any of the old citizens of his county. He left a family of six sons and one daughter. His second son, John, is studing law in Judge Moser's office at Alma. William, the third son, has been a conductor on the St. Peter R.R. for the past two years. His daughter is the wife of Mr. M. L. Tierney, of Waumandee. The three younger boys, added by the oldest son, carry on the work of the farm. Mr. G. is spoken of among his acquaintances, as being an honest and benevolent man. His economical habits and care for the welfare of his family, have left it in good circumstances. Deseased had attained to his 68th year. He seemed to enjoy life, and evidently, had a renewed ambition. Notwithstanding the busy season, and the suddenness of the death, the funeral, which occurred at his home, Thursday morning, and conveyed his remains to the Catholic cemetery in Glencoe, was the largest that has been known in many years.
August 28, 1884 - Republican and Leader, Arcadia, Trempeleau County, Wis.

Patrick married Holland, Catherine Abt 1854, , , New York, USA. Catherine was born Abt 1833, , County Tipperary, Ireland; died 26 Mar 1897, Arcadia, Buffalo, Wisconsin, USA. [Group Sheet]

    Obituary:
Patricia E. Everman, 67, of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at UW Hospital in Madison.
Visitation will be at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 127 W. Maple Ave. in Beaver Dam, on Saturday, Dec. 26, from 10 a.m. until noon. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at the church on Saturday with the Rev. Charles Scheuerell officiating. A luncheon will follow immediately after the Mass at church and private entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum in Green Bay on Monday.
The former Patricia Egan Gleason was born on May 25, 1942, in Green Bay, to Raymond J. and Mary A. (Riley) Gleason. She graduated from St. Patrick's grade school in Beaver Dam and then graduated from Holy Angels Catholic High School in Milwaukee. Patricia later attended college at UW-Madison. On Sept. 21, 1974, she was united in marriage with Donald Everman in Green Bay. Throughout the years, Patricia worked for a medical office in Monona, for Dr. Dan Dries' dental office in Beaver Dam, and for Dental Arts Association in Green Bay.
She liked sports, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. Patricia was also very creative and constructed beautiful needlepoints and handmade Christmas ornaments. She was involved with, and was co-chair, for the Dodge County Toy Bank for 25 years. Patricia also enjoyed helping out at the St. Vincent de Paul store around Christmas time preparing baskets with food and toys for children in need. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Church and was on the St. Patrick's Human Concerns Committee. Patricia was grateful for the friendships that developed while distributing Holy Communion to the homebound through the church. She was always willing to give to others. Patricia was able to be accepted as an organ donor and now part of her lives on through someone else.
Survivors are her husband, Don Everman, Beaver Dam; two sisters, Kathleen (Carl) Williamson, Sun Prairie, and Maureen (Richard) Horan, Madison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Imelda, in infancy and Celine Kanellos.
Thank you to the Beaver Dam Fire and Rescue unit and the Beaver Dam Community Hospital ER department, as well as the UW Hospital Trauma Life Center in Madison for their exceptional care. Also, thank you to Fr. John, seminarian Enrique, and the chaplain at UW Hospital.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Patricia Everman's name to St. Katharine Drexel Conference of St Vincent de Paul, 131 W. Maple Ave., Beaver Dam, WI, 53916
