    Marion B. Pomeroy, formerly of Kaukauna, age 79, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Grand Horizons in Appleton. Marion was born on May 15, 1932 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Walter and Alma (Lemke) Rosenthal. Marion was employed at Willie's Red Owl in Kaukauna for many years and later was the church secretary at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna until her retirement. Marion had a strong faith in God and saw to it that her children were raised accordingly.
    She is survived by her children: Daniel Pomeroy of Manawa, Mary Ellen Euclide of Little Chute, Thomas (Donna) Pomeroy of Kaukauna, and Eve (Robert) Cupp of New London; eleven grandchildren: Jason and Travis Pomeroy, Sheila Heino, Steven, Jr. and Spencer Euclide, Jessica (Gary) Hinske, Rachel (Lane) Kufner, Thomas (Carissa) Pomeroy, Aaron, Noelle, and Paige Cupp; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Marcella (Rick) Van Linn; a sister-in-law, Sue Rosenthal; two half-brothers: Michael (Jodi) Rosenthal and Charlie Rosenthal. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
    Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter-in-law, Sherry Pomeroy; two grandchildren: Robby Warner and Tammy Warner; three brothers: Walter, Wilmer, and Winfred Rosenthal; two sisters: Margaret Meetz and Marlene Denman.
    Funeral services for Marion will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon St., Kaukauna with Rev. Karl Schultz and Rev. Tim Wilkens co-officiating. Friends may call directly at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marion's name.     Winfred Rosenthal died from injuries sustained in an accident at Badger Northland on West Second Street in Kaukauna. Rosenthal was pinned behind a truck he was loading. He was 19 years old and a 1959 graduate of Kaukauna High School. He is survived by his father, two brothers and four sisters.

    Marcella "Mouse" Van Linn (Rosenthal) Age 72, died unexpectedly on November 9th, 2015. She was born June 25th, 1943, the daughter of Walter and Alma (Lemke) Rosenthal. She is survived by her husband Richard Van Linn of 55 years (June 10th, 1960) and her 10 children; Tammie (Paul) Scheffel, Jake Van Linn (special friend Chery), Bonnie (Craig) Nushart, Chris Van Linn, Kathy (Todd) Wolf, Tracey (Dennis) Stanelle, Mark Van Linn (special friend Paula), Linda Van Linn, Becky (Scott) Dzwoniarski, Scott (Tammy) Van Linn; and 17 grandchildren; Paul and Stephen Scheffel; Abby Jo Smith and Tiffany Kobs; Travis and Sara Nushart; Cole and Cassandra Van Linn; Joshua, Taylor, and Anna Wolf; Amanda Nelson; Marcel and Antonio Van Linn; Hoyt Dzwoniarski; Aspen and Gauge Van Linn; and 6 great-grandchildren.     John R. Lemke, 57, formerly of rural Kaukauna, passed away February 19, 2008, in El Paso, Texas after a brief illness. The son of Alvin W. Lemke and Mabel (Timmers) Lemke, John was born December 23, 1950, in Appleton.
    He attended Holy Cross catholic grade school in Kaukauna, and Freedom High School. He graduated in 1969. He received a B.S. degree from UW-Stevens Point and also two master's degrees from the University of Texas. At the time of his death, John was a Special Education Resource teacher for the 45,000 student Ysleta School District in El Paso - a career he loved and that his many students benefited from. Among other awards, he was a teacher of the year.
    Prior to teaching, John spent eighteen years in the U. S. Army serving in various stateside and overseas locations.
    John was focused on his work, but hobbies included discovering wines, pottery, and gemstones native to the southwest. These hobbies and his teaching he shared with his "four wives" (fellow educators) who cared deeply about him, students and each other.
    John was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
    He is survived by a son, Eric Lemke, and a daughter, Wendy Rodeffer, and three grandchildren. He is further survived by his children's mother, Darlene Kunde, a brother, James R. Lemke (Lois), and a sister, Joan R. Lemke.
    A memorial service was held in El Paso in February. A local gravesite service for immediate family will be held June 20, 2008, at the Holy Cross cemetery family plot. Inquiries to Jim Lemke 920-499-9072.

    Thomas C. Pomeroy, 57, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. He was born June 27, 1957 son of the late Marion (nee Rosenthal) Pomeroy and the late Clifford Pomeroy.
    Tom was born in Kaukauna and lived there all his life until last summer when Tom and Donna moved to their home on Legend Lake in Keshena.
    He proudly served as a Marine reservist for eight years.
    On April 30, 1978 he was united in marriage to Donna Volkman at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Center.
    Tom has been a faithful member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He loved to spread the great news of the Risen Savior with all. His passion for Christ grew as did his faith. The faith God blessed Tom with was inspiring to his family and those around him.
    Tom enjoyed wrestling and coached his son in his earlier years and watched his grandsons wrestle the last several years. He loved to attend high school wrestling meets and attended the state wrestling tournaments for 25 years, even going just two weeks ago.
    The grandchildren were his pride and joy. He also enjoyed the relaxing campfires, canoe rides, and his hammock.
    Tom was a hard worker with a creative and entrepreneurial mind. Everything he did was with passion and courage. He had the determination to make things happen, especially when others said it couldn't be done. He used that drive during his fight with cancer and taught others to stay strong.
    He is survived by his wife Donna; three children: Jessica (Gary, deceased on 3/9/2015) Hinske, Rachel (Lane) Kufner, and Thomas (Carissa) Pomeroy; six grandchildren: Austin, Bryce, and Alyssa Kufner, Faith, Hope, and Hunter Pomeroy; four step-grandchildren: Matt, Reggie (Kari), Mike (Sara), and Jon Hinske; three step great-grandchildren: Jaxson, Weston, and Kora. He is further survived by his brother Daniel Pomeroy; two sisters: Mary Euclide and Eve (Robert) Cupp; mother-in-law Rita Volkman; brother-in-law Harlan (Shari) Volkman; two sisters-in-law: Faye (Pat) Sheppard and Lois Volkman. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
    He is preceded in death by his mother and father; a son-in-law Gary Hinske; father-in-law Lyle Volkman; brother-in-law Robert Volkman; and sister-in-law Sherry Pomeroy.

    It was Tom's wishes to remain at home, and his family is truly grateful for the love and care provided by Harlan and Peggy for Tom and his family, which allowed Tom's wish to be granted.

    James Rosenthal, age 50, of Appleton, passed away at ManorCare in Appleton on Thursday, February 19, 2015. James was born on November 12, 1964, in Kaukauna to Carol Sue (Dix) Rosenthal and the late Wilmer Rosenthal. James was well-known for his efforts to help those in need. He was an enthusiastic volunteer at the Salvation Army Community Garden in Appleton and the St. Vincent De Paul Store.
    Survivors include his mother, Carol Sue Rosenthal; his daughter, Sarah (Andy) Engel; his siblings, Greg Rosenthal; Kip (Nicole) Rosenthal; Rob (Monique) Rosenthal; Kyle (Nina) Rosenthal; Justine (Brad) Knope; and Ryan (Rosey) Rosenthal; his nieces and nephews, Ian and Dylan Rosenthal; Kassidy, Kozette and Klaara Rosenthal; Gavin and Rafe Rosenthal; Olivia Rosenthal; Chloe and Carly Knope; and Tala and Liam Rosenthal. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and God parents, Helen and Don Dix; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Alma Rosenthal; and numerous aunts and uncles.
    Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna, with Rev. Gary Nokleberg officiating.
