    Obituary:
    Lois A. Herrmann, age 79 of Appleton, passed away early Wednesday morning at Appleton Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 1, 1934 in Appleton to the late Erich and Verona (Dalke) Luebke. On August 9, 1952 she was united in marriage to Robert Herrmann at St. John United Church of Christ. Lois enjoyed painting; she was an Art Teacher at Fox Valley Technical College and ran a ceramic studio with her mother. She was employed by Zwickers Knitting Mill and was very active in the Americano/Toros Drum and Bugle corps parents club. She was a dedicated and active member of St. John United Church of Christ, involved in various committees and groups including; Council, Youth Fellowship, Women's Mission,
    Diversity Sunday and the Hmong Group. Lois was very active in running the Twelve Corners Cemetery. She will be missed by many people whose lives she touched.
    She is survived by her sons; Scott (Carrie) Herrmann, Appleton and Todd Herrmann, New London, grandchildren; Melissa (Cory) Whitcomb, Amanda (Russ) Whipple, Wanda Schaefer, Anthony Herrmann and Justin Herrmann and 11 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, June Bastian, pro se daughter, Julie Anderson, Palmer, MI, and sister in law, Helen Mankin.
    Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert and her son, Jaye. As well as her sister, Jean (Robert) Golden, sister in law, Dorothy (Jim) VanDeWalle and brother in law, Roy Bastian.
    Funeral services for Lois will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at St. John United Church of Christ, 1130 W. Marquette St., Appleton with Dr. Tom Fritz officiating. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:00am until 11:30am. Inurnment will take place at Twelve Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established at St. John United Church of Christ.

    Obituary:
    Jaye R. Herrmann, formerly of Combined Locks, passed away at his home in Milwaukee on March 25, 2011. He was born in Appleton on April 16, 1954, to Robert and Lois (Luebke) Herrmann. Jaye graduated from Appleton East High School in 1972. Jaye, along with his dad, became members of the YMCA Indian Guides, Fox Tribe and called themselves, Big and Little Wind, in 1961. Jaye joined the Toros/Americano Drum and Bugle Corps in 1964 and was a member for 8 years. In 1971, he was chosen the Americanos Corps Man of the Year. He married Elizabeth Blum on May 10, 1975. They have a daughter, Melissa, who survives him.
    He had been an active member of St. John United Church of Christ where he sang in the choir as a boy and adult, participated in the Youth Fellowship and became their youth advisor from 1980-85 and served on the church council before moving from the area. He began his employment with Design Air 34 years ago in Combined Locks where he held a variety of positions. In 1997, he became the Operation Manager in Iron Mountain, Michigan. In 2001, he went to Milwaukee and became, and presently was, the Southern Operation Manager at Design Air, Div. U.S. Venture. He served as Trustee on Board for Village of Combined Locks for a number of years before moving to Michigan.
    Jaye loved to do wood carving and made many gifts for family and friends. His favorite place to go to relax was at Bark River Camp Grounds in Sullivan, WI, where he spent time with friends and family at his trailer cooking up a storm while making everyone laugh. He enjoyed his time spent with his grandsons, Spencer and Jacob whom he fondly called; "Buddy One" and "Buddy Two."
    Jaye is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Cory) Whitcomb and grandchildren Spencer and Jacob Whitcomb, Kaukauna. His mother, Lois Herrmann, Appleton. Brothers, Scott (Carrie) Herrmann, Appleton and Todd Herrmann, New London, Grandmother, Verona Luebke, and his former wife, Liz Herrmann, Little Chute, and many other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Herrmann, on August 1, 2010, and grandparents, Erich Luebke and Frank and Rose Herrmann.
    Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, at St. John United Church of Christ, 1130 W. Marquette Street, Appleton. The funeral will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Thomas Fritz officiating. Inurnment will take place at Twelve Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
