Moede, Bernard
Bernard Moede, Appleton, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 21, 2004. Bernard was born September 7, 1911, in Suring, WI, to Carl and Anna Suring Moede. He was married on May 20, 1939 to Rosella McHugh.
He was a faithful member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church for 64 years. The things he loved most were his faith, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rosella "Sally" Moede, two sons: Daniel (Iva) Moede, Keshena; and Jerome (Korrin) Moede, Suring; five grandchildren: David Moede (and special friend Toni Mataya), Kaukauna; Jeffrey (Barbara) Moede, Kaukauna; Sheri (Duane) DuBord, Bark River, MI; Erin Moede (and special friend Kevin Gary), Appleton; Adam (Heather) Moede, Gillett; eight great grandchildren: Eric and Michael Moede, Kaukauna; Corey Moede, Kaukauna; Mikayla DuBord, Bark River; Naomi Moede, Gillett; Logan, Connor and Tanner Leitz, Kaukauna; sisters-in-law: Marie Arnold, Clara Marcks, Betty Williams, Roseanne Samson and a brother-in-law, John Samson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, one sister Evelyn Druckrey, seven brothers-in-law: Richard Druckrey, Emmett Arnold, George Voight, Hilton Williams, Ralph Marcks, Daniel Kruse, George McHugh and one sister-in-law, Hazel Voight.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, 129 S. Mason St., Appleton, with the Rev. Paul Schuler officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice for their kindness and compassion, Dr. Michael Krueger and Jan for many years of care, and our neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Don Zuleger and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Salentine for their continued care and support.
