    Obituary:
    Wilma Marie Horn Christen, age 97, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2011. She was born on July 4, 1914 to William and Emma (Ahrens) Horn in Appleton. Wilma retired from Zwicker Knitting Mills in 1985. She was a life-long member of Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church. Wilma was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who loved to sew, knit, crochet and garden.
    She is survived by her four children: Donna Albrecht of Appleton; Sandy (Howard) Kamkes of Saxville; Robert (Jan Watson) Christen of Chicago and Paulette (Paul) Thompson of Cheverly, Maryland; eleven grand-children, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a special nephew, Bill Christen, and special friend Bette. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Clarence "Shorty" Christen; a sister, Alice (Howard) Arent; a son-in-law, Charles Albrecht and a great-grandchild, Angela Jean Albrecht.
    The funeral service for Wilma will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church, 930 E. Florida Avenue, Appleton. Rev. Robert Raasch will be officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church Building Fund or ThedaCare at Home Hospice are appreciated.

    Appleton - DonnaMae A. Albrecht, age 83, of Appleton, passed away surrounded by her family at her home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. She was born in Appleton on January 28, 1935 daughter to the late Clarence A. and Wilma M. (Horn) Christen.
    DonnaMae graduated from Appleton High School - West in 1953. She continued her education in Minneapolis and subsequently found work in Chicago. She relocated to Appleton and married Charles G. Albrecht on June 4, 1955. Together they were blessed with five children.
    She was first employed with Lawrence University and then as a sales clerk for J.C. Penny for twenty-eight years retiring in 1998.
    She enjoyed solving word searches and crossword puzzles; she also was a collector of Santa Claus figurines and displayed them year round making it Christmas all year. In her younger years DonnaMae and her husband, Charles, loved to dance. She always looked forward to lunches with friends and the First Friday of the Month Breakfast Club. Above all she cherished time with her family, especially making memories with family at the cottage.
    She is survived by her five loving children, Charles (JoEllen) Albrecht of Appleton, David (Linda) Albrecht of Appleton, Debra Albrecht of Appleton, Daniel Albrecht of Appleton and Glenn Albrecht of Appleton; three grandchildren, Amy (Anthony) Bruns, Jennifer Albrecht and Allen (Amber) Albrecht; six great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Morgan, Cody, Jackson, Harper and Addison; two sisters, Sandra (Howard) Kamkes and Paulette (Paul) Thompson and sister-in-law, Jan Watson. She is further survived by her dear friend, Jean and many other dear family members.
    In addition to her parents, DonnaMae was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in February of 2000; her brother, Robert, and her granddaughter, Angie.
    The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton. Visitation will be held on Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be held at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in DonnaMae's name. Online condolences can be shared at www.wichmannfargo.com.

    Obituary:
    Appleton - Daniel J. Albrecht, 51, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 25, 1966, in Appleton, the son of Charles and DonnaMae (Christen) Albrecht. Dan enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, watching movies and the Green Bay Packers, martial arts, and listening to music. He loved his work in the kitchen at Touchmark Assisted Living facility. Daniel faced many challenges throughout his life but he fought through them all without a complaint.
    Daniel is survived by his 4 siblings: Charles (Jo Ellen) Albrecht, David (Linda) Albrecht, Debra Albrecht, and Glenn Albrecht; nieces and nephew: Amy (Anthony) Bruns, Jennifer Albrecht, and Allen (Amber) Albrecht; numerous cousins, and other close relatives.
    Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
    Funeral services will be at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2017, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Inurnment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established.
    Daniel's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of ThedaCare Medical Center, Appleton, and the staff of ThedaCare Cancer Center, Appleton for their wonderful care and compassion.
