    Obituary:
    Hazel Kurowski of Appleton, age 90, passed away at her home on Sunday morning, December 18, 2011. Hazel was born in Kaukauna on April 21, 1921, daughter of the late Adolph and Leona (Miller) Blair. On September 24, 1938 she married Carl Kurowski at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay; Carl preceded her in death in 2006. Over the years, Hazel worked on the family farm, in various restaurants, doing home care, and in security at Ray-O-Vac. She was also very skilled at needle work, including crochet, embroidery, and latch-hooking.
    She leaves behind three children: Fred Kurowski, Gene (Debra) Kurowski, and Wanda (Dave) Wyland all of Appleton; six grandchildren: Greg Kurowski, Jeff Kurowski, Wendy (Scott) Weinert, Gary (Judy) Wyland, Keith (Carissa) Wyland, and Shannon (Jason) Gaffney; a step-granddaughter: Jennifer Lappen; five great-grandchildren: Heather (Chad) Funk, Emily Weinert, Hannah Weinert, Alexis Gaffney, and Brady Gaffney; three step-great-grandchildren: Glenn (Danelle) Hoag, Andrew Hoag and his special friend Audra, Cody Streck, Angelica Lappen, and Ikeri Lappen; a great-great-granddaughter: Kirsten Funk; two step-great-grandchildren: Peyton and Finley; two sisters: Violet and Lorraine "Tootsie"; and a brother: Bud. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law: Christine Kurowski.
    A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the funeral home chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
    The family would like to extend their thanks to Hazel's friends and neighbors at John Fischer Manor. We will never forget the love and kindness shown to our mother.

    Obituary:
    Violet Louise Luebke, nee Blair, passed away Monday, November 12, 2012. She was born on September 27th, 1924 in Kaukauna, the oldest daughter of Adolph and Myrtle Blair.
    The family moved to Neenah when she was a little girl. Violet graduated from Neenah High School. On April 26, 1943 she married Russell W. Luebke. The first three years of their marriage, Russell was in the army and stationed overseas. Violet, a true city girl moved to the Luebke family farm to stay with her in-laws, Edwin & Ella Luebke. She worked at Schultz's Dime Store in Neenah and waited for Russell to return to begin to make a home for the two of them. Over the years they were blessed with six children and Violet was content to spend her days cooking, sewing, washing clothes, canning vegetables and whatever was needed to keep her family safe, happy and well fed. She instilled a love of reading, the importance of education and to help others whenever you can. She may not have expressed her love of the Lord with words her but she lived it by example. Violet and Russell shared almost 63 years together, until his passing in February 2006.
    Violet was a Charter member of the VFW Auxiliary, Neenah, a PTA parent, a Lutheran Girl Pioneer Leader, and an officer/member of the Ladies Aide at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Neenah.
    In her later years, you could find her embroidering, doing word search puzzles or reading. As a grandma her cookie jar or candy dish always offered a variety of treats for those that came to visit.
    Violet is survived by her children: Janine (Roger Diedrich) Brantley, Larsen, Richard (Janet) Luebke, Ladysmith, Priscilla Spielbauer, Appleton, Tina M. Luebke, Neenah, Nancy (Terry) Pieper, Neenah; a daughter-in-law, Kristine Luebke, Neenah;
    15 Grandchildren: Robert (Cindy)Brantley, Andy (Sherry) Brantley, Ben (Apryl) Brantley, Kelly (Mike) Lavin, Rick (Krista) Luebke, Jason (Marie) Luebke, Joseph (Angie) Luebke, Alice (Mark) Kilsdonk, John (Melissa) Clegg, Carrie Spielbauer, Aubrey (LeAnn) Krautkramer, Emily (Dan) Scott, Melanie (Tyler) Kotze, Carol (Joe) Harleman, and Lisa (Josh) Dauntes.
    20 great-grandchildren: Skyler, McKenzie, Kennedy, Owen, Bailey, Jessie, Matthew, Mason, Jena, Keera, Alyssa, Josh, Jed, Everett, Tate, Wren, Gabe, Lark, Anthem and Maxine; and 12 step-grandchildren. Violet is further survived by her brother, Louis (Elaine) Blair; a sister, Margaret Schedgick; a sister-in-law, Lucille Luebke; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her son, Donald; son in law, Owen Brantley; sister, Loraine Blair; her brother, Thomas Blair; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel & Carl Kurowski; brother-in-law, Chester Schedgick; and brother-in-laws: Daniel (Mabel) Luebke, and Eugene Luebke.
    The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 3703 Fairview Rd., Town of Clayton, with The Rev. Paul M. Meier officiating. The visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Clayton Cemetery.

    A special thank you to Janine for her loving care of mom. You had a good teacher.
    Mom felt she had a good life and was eager to join dad. Her heart simply wore out with all the love she had for her family and the Lord.
