    EARLIN A. ASHMAN Of Appleton, Age 87, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2001 at Franciscan Care Center. He was born on October 1, 1914 to the late William and Emma Ashman (Schultz). He later married Dorothy Meiers on December 18, 1937. Earlin farmed in the Town of Center his entire life. He was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, and on the Town board and School board. Earlin was a custom butcher who provided service for many people throughout the area. He was also a charter member of the Conservation Club and raised over 2,000 pheasants.
    Earlin is survived by his wife, Dorothy of 64 years, four children: Myra (Gerald) Haber of Neenah, Merlin (Evelyn) Ashman of Black Creek, Geraldine Smith of Nichols, WI, and Jim (Barbara) Ashman of Appleton. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Earlin is further survived by a sister: Romelda Wirth of Appleton, a brother: Eldo (Marion) Ashman of Appleton. A sister-in-law, Charlotte (Stanley) Mollett, brother-in-law, Carl (Elfrieda) Meiers, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
    He is preceded in death by a brother Raymond, two sons-in law: Don Harrington and William Smith, and also a brother-in-law Edward Wirth.
    Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am, at Zion Lutheran Church(912 N. Oneida St., Appleton) on Thursday, December 27, 2001 with Pastor Nathan Gauerke officiating.
    Visitation will begin at 9 am until the time of service also at church, on Thursday. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.

    Ashman, Eldo R. "Huntz" Eldo R. Ashman entered Eternal Life on Easter morning at home with his family at his side at the age of 84. He was born on July 21, 1925, to William Ashman and Emma (Schultz) Ashman in the town of Center. He was baptized and confirmed and a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Ellington. On October 7, 1950, he was united in marriage to Marian Willenkamp; together they farmed all their life until his health failed him. He was a volunteer fireman for the town of Center for many years, a sub rural mail carrier, served on the AAL Branch, Fox Valley High School Board of Regents and at various times held offices at his church.
    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marian Ashman; children Rickey Ashman, Greenville; Randy (Robin) Ashman, Seymour; Judy (Andy) Reynolds, Appleton; Becky (Steven) Doell, Appleton; Sherry (Dennis) Bierman, Appleton; Steven (Paula) Ashman, Appleton; and Terry (Becky) Ashman, Greenville; grandchildren: Rickey (Joanne), Michael and Steven Ashman, Michelle (Mike) Boldt, Casey, Calvin (fiance Angie), Katrina (fiance Troy), and Kyle Ashman, Lindsey and Craig Reynolds, Tim, Cory and Alyssa Doell, Melissa (Tom) Hamilton, Kari (John) Laviolette, Danielle, Aaron, Derek, Aimee and Ben Ashman and Emma and Zeb Ashman; three step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister, Melda Wirth, Appleton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mildred and Howard Schabo, Appleton and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Earlin (Dorothy) Ashman and Raymond (Marion) Ashman, brothers and sisters-in-law: Edward Wirth, Harry and Helen Willenkamp, Emrow and Erdine Willenkamp, Marvin and Margaret Willenkamp and Irma and Harold Rusch.
    Funeral services for Eldo will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ellington with the Rev. Ron Ash officiating. Family and friends may visit at Valley Funeral Home Tuesday (TONIGHT) from 4 to 7:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest in the church's cemetery. A memorial fund is being established in his name to benefit Trinity Lutheran Church, Ellington.
    The family would like to thank the Affinity Hospice for the wonderful care and love they provided in his last weeks, especially Crystal and to our great neighbors across the road.

    Robert L. Ashman, 50 of Grand Chute, died Saturday July 14, 2012, at Cherry Meadows. He was born in Appleton, March 7, 1962, son of the late Raymond and Marion (Kobs) Ashman. Robert married Jennifer Schumaker on July 16, 2008.
    Robert worked at Oshkosh Truck as a warehouse supervisor at their Appleton facility for three years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Appleton, and a member of the Oldsmobile Club of America. He enjoyed gardening, camping, and music, especially playing the drums.
    Robert is survived by his wife, Jennifer, his daughter, Stephanie; step-son, Jacob; three siblings, Sally (Roger) Fieck, Appleton, Tom (Sharon) Ashman, Neenah, and Sue (Duane) Hanke, Seymour; his dog, Ozzy; and several nieces, nephews, and Aunts. He was preceded in death by a brother, William.
    Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday July 18, 2012 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Ron Nielson of Zion Lutheran Church, Appleton officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Online condolences may be made at www.valleyfh.com
