    Obituary:
    Paul Schwalbach, Darboy, age 86, died on Monday, March 19, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born December 3, 1920, to the late George and Catherine (Renn) Schwalbach in Appleton. Paul married the former Vera Wilke on August 12, 1943, at Holy Angels Catholic Church. He was a lifelong farmer. Paul managed various farms throughout Calumet County, was active with the Midwest Breeders, farmed his family dairy homestead and trained and raised horses. He owned and operated the Schwalbach Tavern for over 30 years, which today is known as the Silver Spur. He was a longtime member of the Kaukauna Elks #962 and was active in local, state and national politics. Paul also was an avid reader and enjoyed flying planes, camping; music and time spent with his entire family especially the kids.
    He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vera Schwalbach, two sisters: Irma Wittmann and Sue Miller, a brother, Joseph and Lila Schwalbach, sister in law, Lorraine "Honey" Schwalbach, brother-in-law, LeRoy Klein as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was further survived by his wife's family, sisters: Carole Dugdale, Velda Wilke and Anita Lemke, brothers: Paul Brush, Robert Brush, Carl Baehman, Norman Pagel and David Brush.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brothers in law, Lucille and Carl Grassl Sr., Alice and John Dietzen, Stella and Cyril Klein, Kathryn Klein, Henrietta & Howard Theissen, and a brother, George Schwalbach. He was further preceded in death by his wife's family, sister-in-law, Viola Wilke and a brother-in-law, Jim Brush.
    Paul's Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on THURSDAY, March 22, 2007, at HOLY ANGELS CATHOLIC CHURCH at Holy Spirit Parish with Fr. Don Zuleger officiating. Friends will be received on THURSDAY at CHURCH from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family. 920-766-2099.
