    Obituary:
    Elva Steinacker, 101, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids and Wausau passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
    She was born April 27, 1912 in Appleton to the late Louis and Minnie (Tank) Helser. On December 11, 1932 she married Edward Steinacker in Appleton. For over twenty years they lived in Wisconsin Rapids before moving to Wausau. Elva was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau where she had been a Sunday school teacher and member of the Altar Guild and Sewing Circle.
    Survivors include her son, Gary (Pam) Steinacker of Davenport, IA, three grandchildren, Sheila (Jeff) Wehr, Brian (Jamie) Steinacker, Mark Steinacker and three great grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Wehr and Kadyn Steinacker. Elva was preceded in death by her husband, Edward on May 24, 1980 and a sister, Dora.
    Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, 709 6th St., Wausau. Reverend Steven Gjerde will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
