Obituary:
Genevieve Mae Brantmeier, 80, Eldon, Mo., formerly of the Green Bay area, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 2, 2009, surrounded by her family.
Born in Langes Corners, March 26, 1929, she is the daughter late Andrew and Agnes (Christensen) Nelsen. Genevieve married Donald Brantmeier on September 27, 1947, in the town of Glenmore, and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2008.
She worked as a waitress at Oneida Country Club and in the cafeteria for the Pulaski middle schools. Gen enjoyed reading and bird watching. She will be fondly remembered for her culinary skills.
Gen is survived by her daughter, Linda Shores of Albuquerque, N.M.; granddaughter, Michelle L. Brantmeier of Green Bay; sister, Vida Jorgensen of Denmark; special sister-in-law, Margaret Brantmeier of Greenleaf; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Alan Brantmeier; and sisters, Florence, Gladys, Edna, and Viola. A Catholic Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark with the Rev. Ronald Colombo officiating.
The couple (Gen and Don) will be interred together in the church cemetery immediately following the Mass. MALCORE (EAST) Funeral Home assisted the family.
