He retir ed from the Kimberly Clark Corp. in 1984 after working for 40 years. He w as a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Kimberly Clark Quarter-Cen tury club.     Rosella Martha "Rose" Schumacher was born into eternal life on Feb. 4, 2011, at the age of 75. She was born on July 11, 1935, to Lawrence and Johanna Du Frane in Kimberly, Wis., where she lived in her early years. On Oct. 27, 1956, she married Ronald (Ron) Verstegen at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. Together they had five children. In March 1972, Ron passed away. A half-mile or so away Marvin (Marv) Schumacher had also lost his mate Betsy (Van Zeeland) to cancer. Rose and Marv eventually dated, and on Oct. 22, 1976, Rose and her five married Marv and his eight, again at Holy Name Church.
    With abundant room in their hearts but not so much room in the house on Edwards Street in Combined Locks, they set to building a new home in Little Rapids (De Pere), expanding later as the number of grandchildren grew. Rose was a compassionate listener. She was exceptionally hospitable, often inviting guests to sit themselves down a while, and maybe gather at the table to play some cards, Scrabble or some other game. Rose had a warm heart; family members and friends were naturally drawn to her to share both triumphs and challenges-to receive hugs, congratulations, tears, and maybe a little bit of advice here and there. She was a sort of glue that kept people together.
    Prior to her illness, Rose loved to play golf. She also enjoyed singing and had directed and sung in various church choirs throughout her life. She took up quilting after becoming an "empty nester" and created quilts for many family members, as heirlooms to commeremorate weddings, graduations,etc. It seems there was always something to celebrate!
    Rose is survived by her loving husband, Marv Schumacher; children, Tom and Lois Schumacher, De Pere, and their children, John, Ben, Betsy and Elizabeth; Mike and Brenda Schumacher, Sturgeon Bay, and their children, Nichole, Matt, Kate and Luke; Sue and Jim Gage, Cincinnati, O.H., and their children, Heidi, Jennifer, Lisa and Max; Sally and Tom Schmidt, De Pere, and their children, Andy, Adam, Mike, Shane, Brian, Amanda, and Becky; Rick and Deb Verstegen, Appleton, and their children, Lindsay, Amanda and Bryan; Jean Schumacher, Livermore, Calif., and her children, Dedra and Erin; Renee and Joe Wyngaard, Weyauwega, and their children, Jenny, Laura, Brooke and Tyler; Regina (Gigi) and Greg Johnson, Manawa, and their children, Emily and Mitchell; Paul and Lisa Schumacher, Racine, and their children, Joe, Sara, Brittney and Henry; Carol Schumacher (Mike Jandrin), De Pere and their children, Crystal, Betsy, Tracy and Dana; Roy and Kathy Verstegen, Kimberly, and their children, Lexy, Jake and Monica; Greg and Greta Schumacher, Shorter, AL and their son Nathan; and Ruth Verstegen, Neenah. Helping to prepare the way for Rose in Paradise were her parents, her first husband, Ron Verstegen; granddaughter, Carrie Schumacher, and siblings Frances (Carl) Zwiers, Levi (Mitzi) Du Frane, Harold Du Frane, Lawrence Du Frane, Myrtle (Herman) Sauer, and Reuben (Eileen) Du Frane.

    Robert E. Olive, age 88, formerly of Kimberly, died on October 31, 2014, in Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, Minnesota, following a brief illness.
    Bob was born on April 18, 1926, in Iron Mountain, MI, to the late Edward and Aldora (DuFrane) Olive.
    Bob was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Janice Weyenberg on April 19, 1947, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly, at the time of her death they had been married 63 years.
    Bob was a WWII veteran and a proud member of the W.M. Verhagen Post #60 of the American Legion.
    Bob worked 38 years for General Motors in the AC/Delco Division. His career took him to Minneapolis and the Chicago area. Bob and Jan retired to Darboy, after a few years they sold their home and went full-time in a RV. They spent the next 6 years, which they both often remarked were the best years of their lives, roaming the country visiting relatives, friends and seeing the sites. They lived in Tucson, Arizona before moving to Brainerd, Minnesota, to be near their daughter.
    Bob and Jan are now back together and that brings a lot of comfort to their family and friends.
    Bob will be missed by his daughters, Pat Kvale (Greg) of Brainerd, MN; Lynne Hubert of Bozeman, MT, three grandchildren, Laurel Hubert, Luise Hubert and Peter Kvale.
    He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Edwina Schumann, Lorraine Doering and Celeste Lambie.

    Thomas "Tom" A. Cotnoir, age 85, of Kimberly, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. He was born on December 8, 1931 in Niagara, Wisconsin to the late Edward and Alice (Dufrane) Cotnoir. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1950. He worked as a mill hand in the Kimberly Mill for a year before he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Tom specialized in jet fighter avionics while serving in the Air Force during the Korean War. When he returned to the states Tom provided radar over watch for the Oak Ridge Atomic Energy Facility.
    Tom married Mary Springfield in Kingsford, Michigan and together they were blessed with seven children, John, Mary, Paul, Thomas, Robert, James and William.
    He retired from the Kimberly Mills after forty-six years. He started as an eager mill hand and worked his way to superintendent; and was respected among his coworkers for the care and concern shown to all those whom he worked with.
    He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his daughter-in-law, Estella; his six children, Mary Murtie, Paul Cotnoir, Thomas (Wendy) Cotnoir, Robert Cotnoir, James (Brenda) Cotnoir and William (Kathy) Cotnoir; ten grandchildren, John, Peter, Megan, Brecon, Greg, Ryan, Christopher, Garrett, Aaron and Macallum; five great-grandchildren, Addelyn, Gabriel, Braylon, Cajea and William. Tom is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, John; his brother, Richard and his sister Yvonne.

    Dennis DuFrane, age 70, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully with his wife and family by his side on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 29, 1942 in Kimberly, the son of the late Levi and Mary (Sonnleitner) DuFrane. On August 18, 1962, Dennis married the love of his life, Mary Lamers at St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks. Dewey was employed at Giddings & Lewis for 24 years, and then semi-retired from Kimberly Clark after 24 years of service. He belonged to the IAM Union and was a Union Representative. Dennis enjoyed all outdoor sports, going up north to his second home in Townsend, and gardening. He loved deer hunting with his buddies, gaming with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren. Many will remember Dennis with his quick wit and great sense of humor.
    Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary DuFrane; sons: Pat (Cindy Hoffman) DuFrane; Brian (Ruth) DuFrane; and Mark (Karen) DuFrane; grandchildren: Heather (Ryan) Siebers and Holly Hoffman; Erik (Trisha) DuFrane, Matt (Caroline) DuFrane, Emilo Lopez, Isamar (Richard) Galvan, and Azucena Lopez; Kelsey (Tony Geenen) DuFrane, Levi DuFrane and Sophie DuFrane; great grandchildren: Jordy and Hunter Siebers; Alexis and Kalli Hoffman; and Nathan Lopez; sisters and brothers: Janice (Gordy) Huolihan; Dave (Yvonne) DuFrane; Roger (Barb) DuFrane; and Sandy (Russ) Hoppe; and sister-in-law: Inez DuFrane. He was known as "Uncle Denny" to many nieces and nephews. Dennis is further survived by a special family friend, Patti DuFrane, other relatives, including Mary's family, and many friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda DuFrane; his brother, Tom DuFrane; and grandchildren, Kyle DuFrane, Cole DuFrane, and Lydia DuFrane.
    The funeral liturgy for Dennis will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna. Fr. Tom Pomeroy will be officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.     Richard C. "Dick" Zwiers, 78, of Little Chute, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Michigan on July 30, 1937 and moved to the Freedom area at a young age. Dick married Janice Weyenberg on May 21, 1959, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute.
    After 35 years of service, Dick retired from Miller Electric in 1995. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and an all-around outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time at his hunting land with his sons in Fremont and with family in the northwoods. Dick also enjoyed gardening and was extremely proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    Dick is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Janice; his children; Connie (Dan) Coppens, Jeff (Julie) Zwiers, Rick (Julie) Zwiers, Kevin (Lahnie) Zwiers; grandchildren: Sarah (Jaymes) Seidler, Michelle Coppens, Amanda, Nicole and Christina Zwiers, Jessica and Jordan Zwiers, Kalli and Jacob Zwiers; great grandchildren: Derek and Nora Seidler; siblings: Jerry (Ursula) Zwiers, Irene "Toots" Gerrits, Larry (Mary) Zwiers, Tony (Barb) Zwiers, and Carl (Mary) Zwiers; brothers and sisters-in-law: Marilyn (James) Verhasselt, Jerry (Mary Ann) Weyenberg, and Diane (Karl) Wouters; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and special friends.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home FREEDOM LOCATION, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, and again on Saturday directly at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Dick's name.

    James S. DuFrane, Kaukauna, Age 64, passed away at his home on Friday, August 31, 2012 following a two year courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 2, 1947 in Kaukauna, son of the late Ruben and Aileen (Clough) DuFrane. Jim was a Veteran of the US Army, serving in Vietnam from 1967-1970. On November 7, 1970 he was united in marriage to Barbara Schultz at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. Jim was a mill worker at the Kimberly Mill for 34 years until his retirement. Jim and Barb enjoyed traveling and the occasional stop at one of the many casinos along the way. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandson Justin.
    He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara; a son, James, Jr.; a daughter, Kari (Raymond) Parker and their son Justin; ten brothers and sisters: Valerie (Daniel) Fredericks, Gary (Elaine), Gregg (Linda), Deborah (Lawrence) Gerrits, Paul (Robin), Leah (Michael) Hoks, Dawn (James) Kappell, Hazen (Judy), Robin Munes, and Tracy (Debbie). Jim is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and Barbara's relation. He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Memorial services for Jim will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Deacon Steve Vandehey officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of services.
    The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the VA Hospital in Milwaukee as well as the Martha Sieckman Cancer Center in Appleton.

    Greg L. Du Frane passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 21, 2013 with his loving family at his side. He was born in Kimberly, WI on July 16, 1950, to the late Ruben and Aileen Du Frane.
    Seems like Greg and Linda knew each other almost forever, and were married February 26, 1971.
    Greg was a painter (construction) for 35 yrs and was employed at Davis Painting (13+ yrs). He was a very hard working guy, always taking such great pride in his work, never quitting until everything was just right.
    Greg enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. He especially liked watching the Packers with his father-in-law and son with an Ice House not far from his side. He loved to get together with family and friends and was always the life of the party.
    Greg is survived and will be missed by: his wife Linda and all their furry animals, son: Chad (Robyn), grandchildren: Brennan, Connor and little Tyler (known as Ty to bampa) all of which he was very proud of.     This is written in loving memory of Dennis Schmidt, who passed into God's safe keeping on February 24, 2017. Dennis was born on October 15, 1947, in Appleton to Leander and Agnes (DuFrane) Schmidt. He graduated from St. Mary's Central High School in Menasha in 1966 and later attended technical school in Milwaukee. Dennis excelled in football and swimming as a teenager and in high school. He was united in marriage to Barbara Felton on May 10, 1969. Dennis worked for International Paper Company in Fond du Lac for 42 years until his retirement in 2009. During his time with International Paper, he served as a Designer, District Designer, Sales Executive, Sales Manager and most recently Customer Service Manager. As a young adult, he enjoyed playing in men's softball leagues, men's golf leagues and couples bowling leagues. He also enjoyed serving as photographer at company Christmas parties, including taking the pictures of all the children with Santa Claus.
    As his two children got older, he coached youth baseball for several years. He also participated in Cub Scouts as an Assistant Cub Master and Cub Master. He enjoyed going to all his boys' sporting events, including football, basketball, baseball games, and track meets. He later served as an officer in the Fond du Lac Quarterback Club. If the boys needed a ride to almost any activity, he was willing to drive them and their friends. In his later years he enjoyed playing cards and playing bingo. He loved to go camping, out to eat with his family and traveling on many car trips across the country.
    He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Barbara, of Neenah and his sons Peter (Kara Johnson) of Middleton and Steven (Stephanie Dean) of Neenah. He is also survived by his mother Agnes Smarzinski, sister Barbara (Larry) Mauthe, brother Jeff (Donna) Schmidt, sisters-in-law Lynn and Kathy, brother-in-law Paul (Eleanor), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father Leander and brother Patrick.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 2017, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division Street, Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the mass.
    The family would like to thank Theda Care Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care especially the staff in the ICU as well as in the Emergency Room

    Alan P. Lambie, of Palm Bay, Florida, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on January 21, 2017. Al was born on September 11, 1943 to the late Neal and Celeste (Olive) Lambie. After graduating from high school, he served his country in the US Coast Guard for 4 years.
    On May 4, 1968, he united in marriage to Cheryl Beyer. Al retired to Florida after 31 years of service with Calnin & Goss, Inc. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and sitting with family and friends around a campfire at his summer residence in Brussels, WI.
    Al is survived by his daughter Dawn (Shane) Becher, son Brad (Faith) Lambie, grandchildren Hope, Missy, Riley, Casey, Kody, Tristen and Chloe, along with many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws. Al is preceded in death by his wife Cheryl, sons: Brian and Eric.

    Michael (Mike) Cotnoir, age 59, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was born on October 3, 1957 in Appleton, WI to Richard and Jan (Dix) Cotnoir. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing, particularly for Muskie which he fished for competitively in many local tournaments. His happiest moments were spent at home with Kathy and their two cats, Bing and Babe.     Nicole Lee Doering, Kaukauna, age 37, died unexpectedly on Thursday July 16, 2015. She was born on February 21, 1978. She enjoyed fishing, spending time at the cottage on Crooked Lake and especially the time she spent with family and her two cats, Gizmo and Mittzy.
    She is survived by her parents, Cliff and Sharon Doering; a daughter, Cassandra; brother, Eric (Megan) Doering and their children, Jack and Ben; and special friend, Shane Arnold. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary (Van Wychen) Doering; both sets of grandparents; Cassandra's father, Richard Bertrand; Uncle Ken Doering and Uncle Bob "Wyke" Van Wychen.

    Eric J. Lambie, 40, of Shiocton, passed away unexpectedly due to an accident on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Theda Clark Hospital. He was born October 27, 1974, son of Al Lambie and the late Cheryl (Beyer) Lambie.
    Eric graduated from Seymour High School in 1994. He was employed with Scott Marcks Trucking and Excavating. He enjoyed watching his son, Kody play football and baseball. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting and fishing. He attended the Black Creek Community Bible Church.
    Eric is survived by his son, Kody; father, Al; brother, Brad (Faith) Lambie: sister, Dawn (Shane) Becher: grandmother, Virginia Beyer: sister-in-law, Lona Lambie: nieces and nephews: Hope and Missy Lambie, Tristen and Chloe Becher, Riley and Casey Lambie; and special friend, Emily Neuman and her children, Gavin and Lucille.
    He is preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl; brother, Brian; and grandfather, Harold Beyer.
    Friends may call at the Seymour Assembly of God Church, 989 Lincoln St., Seymour on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 12 noon until services at 4:00 pm with Pastor Bernard Ferguson officiating.     Christopher Terence DuFrane, Age 25, of Hortonville, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born on December 26, 1988 in Appleton, son of Terence and Christine (Murphy) DuFrane who survive him. He is also survived by his siblings: Mike (Jillian) DuFrane; Alyson DuFrane and her fiance Dustin Schroeder; maternal grandmother: Mary Lou Murphy; paternal grandparents: Roger and Barb DuFrane; a nephew and niece: Jordy DuFrane and Reese DuFrane. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mike Murphy, and uncle, Pat Van Alstine.
    The Funeral Mass for Christopher will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Rev. Msgr. Jim Feely and Parish Director Greg Layton officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation for Christopher will be held directly at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.
    The family would like to thank the numerous people who were involved in Christopher's life over the years who gave wonderful care to him. We greatly appreciate all you have done.

    Macy Jean Van Zeeland, Kaukauna, age 14 months died peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Children's Hospital, Milwaukee. She was born July 18, 2016 in Neenah, WI daughter of Adam and Molly (Bouressa) Van Zeeland of Kaukauna.
    Iron Macy blessed everyone who knew her with her infectious smile and constant courage. She was truly a warrior who left an impact on everyone who knew her and her journey.
