    Obituary:
Dick Fellner, age 82, reached his heavenly home on Wednesday March 28, 2007, with his loving and caring family by his side. He was born on March 26, 1925, in Antigo, WI, to the late Charles and Mabel (Schultz) Fellner. The family moved to Shiocton, WI, where Dick graduated from Shiocton High School in 1943. He was very active in high school basketball and after graduation played for the city team in the BABA league. Dick also played baseball for Shiocton in the Dairyland League and later managed the team. He loved all sports especially the Green Bay Packers and the Brewers, but was a true St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan all his life. On November 22, 1951, he married the former Verla Satorius at St. Denis Parish in Shiocton. In June 1987, Dick retired from Integrity Mutual Ins. Co after 34 years of service. He loved gardening and was very proud of his crops, especially his strawberries and raspberries. He loved roses and at one time had 95 rose bushes at his home on Sunrise Court. Dick always enjoyed the monthly "Fish Club" get-togethers with the Brennans, Martins and DuChateaus and the Friday night fish dinners, with Tom and Carol Stinski. He was a true role model for everyone and a very compassionate man, displaying his faith in God and his true love for his family. Dick was a long time member of St. Bernard's Parish.
Dick is survived by his wife, Verla; a son, Terry (Patricia) Fellner, Appleton; two grandchildren: Corey (fiance Wendy), Appleton and Shana (Tony) Herzfeldt, Greenville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Beverly Johnson and Mary Lou (Seldon) Pooler, Shiocton; Patricia (Chuck) Miller, Keshena. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially those from the Sunrise Court area who knew him as "Grandpa Fellner."
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Glen Johnson; and a nephew, Randy Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 11a.m. Saturday March 31, 2007, at St. Bernard's Parish, 1617 W. Pine St. Appleton, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in the mausoleum at Highland Memorial Park.
A very special thank you to Dr. Stephen Fuller who had so much patience, compassion, and concern not only for Dick but for Dick's family as well. Dick's family would also like to thank Dr. Jack Swanson, Jill Tetting, Dr. Jeremy Metzler, the 4th Floor Nursing staff at AMC and ThedaCare Hospice for their care and thoughtfulness during Dick's illness.
