    Anthony R. Derus, (Tony), Formerly of 218 Brother Street Kaukauna; passed away Thursday at the Riverview Health Center, at the age of 87. He was born July 13, 1899, in Kaukauna. He lived in Kaukauna all of his life and work at Thilmony Pulp and Paper Company for 32 years. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Quarter Century Club of Thilmany. Survivors include three daughters and three sons-in-law; Charlotte and Charles Montanye, Kimberly; Clarine and Marv MIller, Betty Lueck, Cal DeBruin, all of Kaukauna; a son, David, San Leandro, California; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1977, a daughter Joan, in 1976, three brothers and five sisters. The funeral will be at 12 noon Monday, September 22, 1986, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Mike Somers officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

    Montanye, Charlotte H. (Derus)
    Charlotte H. Montanye (Derus), age 84, died at Manor Care in Appleton on Friday, June 23, 2006. She was born in Kaukauna on April 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Pennings) Derus. On November 27, 1943, she married her husband of many years, Charles Montanye, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He precedes her in death. Charlotte was a very good cook who took wonderful care of her family.
    Charlotte is survived by her children: Ned (Nancy) Montanye of Appleton; Chris (Sharon) Montanye of Seymour; Keith "Mizer" (Karen) Montanye of Darboy; Claudia Baum of Appleton and Kathy Stoll and spouse of Appleton; grandchildren: Mandy Montanye of Milwaukee; Michelle (Corey) VerHaagh of Combined Locks; Adam (J'aime) Montanye of Menasha; Blaine Montanye of Seymour; Tyler Montanye of Seymour; Jason (Vicki) Montanye of Little Chute; David Montanye of Kissimmee, FL; Brian Baum of Little Chute; Amy (Bob) Denis of Shiocton; Dale Baum of Manawa and Jodie (John) McKenzie of Little Chute; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Clarine Miller of Appleton and Betty Lueck of Kaukauna; brother, David Derus of Lodi, CA; brother-in-law, Cal DeBruin of Kaukauna; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; sister, Joan DeBruin; and an infant daughter, Mary Anne.
    The visitation will be on Monday, June 26, 2006, from 10 a.m. until the time of the liturgy at 12 p.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, Kimberly Campus, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Burial will at 2:30 p.m. on Monday in Holy Cross Cemetery.
    The family extends a very special thank you to Virginia Mongin for being a dear friend. Further, thank you to the staff at Manor Care and the many friends of Charlotte for their wonderful care for the past number of years.

    Clarine M. Miller, 84, Kaukauna, passed away after seven years of residence at Manor Care in Appleton, where she was the self-elected ambassador of good will, on Saturday, June 19, 2010. She was born in Kaukauna on April 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Pennings) Derus. Clarine graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1944 and helped run a music store with her former music teacher, Lucille Austin, in Sheboygan, for five years. She then attended Milwaukee Beauty School in Green Bay, leading to many years of working with the Wonders sisters from Little Chute. Later she managed Appleton's Regis Hair Salon. Clarine was married to Marvin Miller for 46 years. He preceded her in death in 2002. Clarine's hobbies included gardening, music and reading. Much of her life was devoted to being a caregiver for her family and friends.
    Clarine is survived by her children, Anne (Stephen) Keller and Lisa Miller; stepsons, Stephen (Michele Bahl) Miller and Ted Miller; grandchildren, Stephannie and Ben Keller, Jacob Retelle, Daniel (Lury) and David Miller; great-grandchildren: Karma Schulze, Renata and Ian Miller; former daughter-in-law, Kathryn Moon; sister, Betty Lueck; brother, David (Jean) A. Derus of Lodi, CA.; brother-in-law, Cal DeBruin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; sisters, Joan DeBruin and Charlotte (Charlie) Montanye; brother-in-law, Frank Lueck; and nephew, Chris Montanye.
    The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jim Vanden Hogan officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna.
    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the numerous health care providers who gave her such loving and quality care at Manor Care, Heartland Hospice and Affinity Health System, along with her friends at Manor Care who will dearly miss her.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Clarine's name is being established.
