    Green Bay - Norbert J. Basten, 82, of Green Bay, beloved husband of Betty (Robak) Basten departed this life on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Autumns Promise Assisted Living.
    Norb was born on July 8, 1936 in Green Bay son of the late James and Julia (Strebel) Basten. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Norb retired after many years as a Foreman for Packerland Packing. His greatest passion was spending time at their home in Chute Pond with his many friends. While up north he enjoyed everything that comes with that; pontoon rides, fishing, snowmobiling club and it's functions, and making his famous Booyah. Norb was an avid NASCAR and Green Bay Packer fan. Norb loved people and his gift of gab will always be remembered.
    He is survived by his wife of over 58 years Betty and their children: Julie (Jeff) Vandevelde, Jane Pluff, Joan (Alan) Pieschek, and Mark (Katie) Basten. Norb also leaves his grandchildren: Torrie, Brad, Kim, Matt (Mariah), Brooklynn, and Breanna, along with 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Leo, Francis, Ronald, and Donald, along with a son-in-law, Gene Pluff.
    Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 3 - 6 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A memorial service with full military honors will follow at 6 PM. Interment will be private.
    The family wishes to thank Unity Hospice for the comfort and care given to Norb throughout his illness.

    Francis "Frank" Basten, 76, Green Bay, passed away July 3, 2015. Born on October 17, 1938, in New Franken, he is the son of the late James and Julia Basten. Frank graduated from East High School class of '58. He served our country in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. Frank married the former Diane DeLaurelle on January 15, 1966, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He then went on to become the proud father of his three children. Frank worked at Green Bay Packaging for forty-two years before he retired. He enjoyed his cabin, collecting and sharing his treasures found at auctions and sales.
    He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Diane; three children, Doug (Tammy) Basten, Tammi Basten, and Brian (Danielle) Basten all of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Courtnay, Evan, Alec, Tyler, Michael, and Nolan; two great grandchildren, Aerionna, and Lucas who is on his way; one brother, Norbert (Betty) Basten; sisters-in-law, Nancy and Jan; many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
    Preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Clarence and Lorraine DeLaurelle; three brothers, Leo, Ron, and Don Basten.
    Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home 701 N. Baird St. Tuesday July 7, from 3 PM until the time of the Parish Wake Service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Cirignani, OFM officiating. Burial at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Visit www.malcorefuneralhome.com to send the family an online condolence.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St Vincent Dialysis Center and ER.

    Donald F. Basten, 68, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 18, 1945, in Green Bay to the late James & Julia (Strebel) Basten.Don was a 1963 graduate of Green Bay East High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 until 1969. He retired in 2008 after 34 years of employment at Paper Converting Machine Company.
    Don married Janice Phillips in Green Bay on June 2, 1973, at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Church. Over their 40 years of marriage, together they raised four children and enjoyed eleven grandchildren.He enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren and his many close friends. Don was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. His smile and love of life was contagious.
    Don is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Craig (Stacy) Basten, Michelle (Brian) Neuens, Tina (Tom) Schmidt, and Sheri (Dave) Omernik; grandchildren, Rachel, Elizabeth, Abby, Bailey, Marcus, Katie, Adrienne, Alex, Grady, Emily and Aubrey; brothers, Norbert (Betty) Basten and Francis (Diane) Basten; sister-in-law, Nancy Basten; in-laws, Sue & Ron Conard, Ron & Carol Phillips, Dan & Linda Phillips, Diane & Dave Dimmer, and Alan & Mary Ellen Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.
    He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in law & mother-in-law, Richard & Helen Phillips; brother, Leo Basten and twin brother, Ronald Basten.
