Obituary:
Robert Carl (Bob) Wettengel, 67, of Albany, GA died Monday, September 12, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday September 14, 2011 at Mathews Funeral Home with visitation followed. Rev. Tim Olds will officiate.
Funeral services will also be conducted in the chapel of West Lawn Memorial Park on Saturday September 17, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in West Lawn Park Cemetery, Racine, WI. Father Mark Jones will officiate.
A native of Clintonville, WI, Mr. Wettengel had resided in Albany, GA since 1985 moving from, Racine, WI to work for Coats North America as their Information Technology Manager.
He was a graduate of Mayville High School and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater College and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Army Artillery and Missile Division.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wood Wettengel of Albany, GA, three daughters, Heidi Hansen and her husband, Todd of Racine, WI, Tricia Crawford of Racine, WI and Amy Pate and her husband, Byron of Alpharetta, GA, four grandchildren, Zach Hansen and Alex Hansen, Jackson Pate and Ava Pate, a sister, Carol Davidson and her husband, Doug of Kiel, WI, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Albany Community Hospice, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, GA 31707 or the Albany Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1436, Albany, GA 31702.
