    Loerke, Rose P.Rose P. Loerke, age 87, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at Oa kridge Gardens Nursing Center. She was born September 20, 1917 in Little C hute, daughter of the late Louis and Kate (Dercks) Coenen. Rose married No rbert Loerke on June 22, 1939 in Little Chute. He preceded her in dea th in March of 1970. Rose worked for Zwicker Knitting Mill and then retir ed from Miller Electric in September of 1981. She loved dancing, playing c ards, bingo, she was a wonderful baker and Friday Fish Fry’s were a must.
    Rose was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.She will be missed by three children: Mary Ann (Raymond) Maroszek, Shar on (James) Rammer, Robert (Joan) Loerke; six grandchildren: Jeffrey Marosz ek, Lisa (Mitchell) Tangen, Brian (Jennifer) Rammer, Christina (Scott) Kel ly, Matthew and Adam Loerke; eight great-grandchildren: Brett, Sarah, Chri stian, Jonah, Lauren, Ryan, Courtney and Kelsey; two sisters: Loretta Do rn and Dorothy (Eugene) Dorn.Rose was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.The Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2005, at 11 :00 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, with Fr.     Loretta G. Dorn, 89, Appleton, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, with her family at her side. She was born April 14, 1919, the daughter of the late Louis and Catherine (Dercks) Coenen in Little Chute. Loretta was united in marriage to Edwin N. Dorn on April 30, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1992. Together Edwin and Loretta owned and operated the family farm. Loretta also worked at Tuttle Press and Rich's Bakery. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in her prominent years.

    Dorothy E. Dorn, 91, Appleton, passed away on November 9, 2012. The former Dorothy Coenen was born on April 6, 1921 in Little Chute to the late Louis and Katherine (Dercks) Coenen. On April 30, 1941 she was united in marriage to Eugene Dorn, her loving husband of 68 years. Eugene preceded her in death on May 24, 2009.
    Eugene and Dorothy did everything together. They farmed in the Grand Chute area for over 40 years. Dorothy, along with her husband Eugene, volunteered her time for over 25 years at St. Joe's Food Pantry and St. Vincent DePaul. She was known for her huge weed free vegetable garden and her beautiful flower gardens.
    Dorothy will be sadly missed by her son, Eugene (Kathy) Dorn, Appleton and their children Scott Dorn and Steven (Amy) Dorn and her son, Kenneth (Jillene) Dorn of Shiocton, and their children Travis (Thi) Dorn, Shane (Paula) Dorn and Dr. Clint (Melissa) Dorn, and her daughter, Joyce's children, Jane Maroszek and David Maroszek. Dorothy is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jaden, Kiley, Isabel, Alexis and Cortney Dorn; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Eunice Brockman, Florence Woldt, Rosella Ernst, Donald (Mary Lou) Dorn, Joyce Dorn, Charlotte Koerner, Lawrence (Billie Jean) Dorn, Pat Jack, Marilyn Dorn, and Beattie (Eugene) Otto. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    JoAnn M. Schmidt, age 73, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 after a short illness. JoAnn was born in the Town of Mackville on September 30, 1938, to the late George and Antoinette (Coenen) Reinke. On July 20, 1957, she was united in marriage to John G. Schmidt Jr. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton. JoAnn enjoyed going to classic car shows, playing solitaire, her years in bowling leagues at Village Lanes, working in her garden, trips to the casino, polka dancing on Sundays - but most of all JoAnn enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton, where she was a dedicated leader of the funeral lunch committee.
    JoAnn will be missed by her husband John (Tony), Appleton; 2 daughters: Lori (William) Budzinski, Burlington, NC and Amy (John) Vanden Oever, Kimberly; a son Greg (Patty) Schmidt, Appleton; 6 grandchildren: Alex and Jacob Schmidt, Johnny and Eric Vanden Oever, and Angela and Brianne Budzinski; 3 brothers: Jerry Reinke, Appleton, Jim (Sue) Reinke, Milladore, and Robert (Pat) Reinke, Appleton; 4 sisters: Alice Schultz, Waupaca, Mary (Melvin) Schmidt, Apple Creek, her twin Jean (Dick) Neubauer, Neenah, and Carol Bunnell, Neenah; 3 brothers-in-law: Raymond Schmidt, Mackville, Cyril (Ann) Schmidt, Shiocton, and Robert (Barbara) Schmidt, Branson, MO; 3 sisters-in-law: Mildred (Don) Weyenberg, Apple Creek and Marion (Leonard) Thiel, Apple Creek, and Judy Schmidt, Neenah; She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law John and Clara Schmidt, a brother George Jr., and 4 brothers-in-law: Mike Bunnell, Donald and Francis Schmidt and Herman Schultz.
    A Memorial Service will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 414 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, with Father James Leary OFM CAP officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Friday from 9 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, especially Kevin Mortara, MD and Patricia Martins, APNP and also to Becky, Andrea, Mary, and Jennifer from ThedaCare Hospice for their compassionate care shown to JoAnn.

He married Kathlyn Looman on June 24, 2006, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Appleton. Dennis was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking, and he collected and repaired old clocks and radios.     Schultz, Jesse A.Jesse A. Schultz, age 16, of Little Chute, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 2, 2004. He was born December 28, 1987 in Appleton, son of Timothy and Mary (Van Asten) Schultz. Jesse was a sophomore at Little Chute High School and was a recent part-time employee of Hardware Hank in Little Chute, a job he very much enjoyed. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute.Jesse was a one-of-a-kind young man who, just by his presence, made everyone around him a better person. His smile and laugh were ever present, particularly when he was engaged in some of his favorite past times. Jesse loved to go fishing and hunting with his father Tim and they enjoyed many happy hours in the woods and hunting cabin. Spending time on the boat fishing or water skiing with his family, including the family dog Molly, was an other of his favorite activities. An occasional round of golf with his father Tim and brother Ryan was something Jesse always looked forward to. With his mother Mary's help, he was also becoming an accomplished guitar player and formed a band with friends called A New Hope. Jesse is survived by his parents, Timothy and Mary Schultz, Little Chute; his brother, Ryan Schultz, Little Chute; his paternal grandmother, Alice Schultz, Waupaca; his maternal grandparents, Art and Bonnie Van Asten, Little Chute; his aunts and uncles: Connie Van Asten, Waupaca; Steve and Cathy (Schultz) Verhagen, Appleton; Dean and Julie (Schultz) Zuleger, Appleton; Jeff and Maria Van Asten, Shiocton; Mike and Lynn Van Asten, Kaukauna; his cousins: Zachary Van Asten, Brandon and Brady Zuleger, Nicole and Dan Verhagen, Curtis, Erin and Riley Van Asten, Chris and Jennifer Van Asten and Sarah Van Asten; many dear friends and classmates.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herman Schultz; and his uncle, Rick Van Asten.Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2004, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Litt le Chute. Friends may call at the church from 1 to 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.The family wishes to express a special thank you to Little Chute High School and Appleton Medical Center for their efforts.Jesse, you will be truly missed. You were the love of our lives. Say hello to grandpa and uncle Rick. We love you, Mom, Dad and Ryan.
