    Marie R. Green, age 89, died F riday afternoon at the Oak Ridge and Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha. S he was born February 26th, 1905, in the town of Harrison, the daught er of the late Henry and Helen (Demarath) Wilz Sr.,. In her early years s he was employed by the Little Paris Millinery and was also a switchboard o perator for Wisconsin Telephone Co., both of Appleton. She then serv ed as manager of the Union News lunchroom at Appleton Junction, Wisconsi n. From 1928 to 1932. She married John H. Greene on August 30th, 1930. Th ey made their home in Winneconne in 1937 and Marie was the assistant libra rian from 1945 until 1966 and then served as librarian of the Winneconne P ublic Library from 1966 until her retirement in 1979. Her husband preced ed her in death on February 17, 1969. She was a member of St. Mary's Cath olic Church of Winneconne. Marie was active in civic affairs and w as a 50 year member of the Winneconne Civic League Federated Women's clu b. She was a charter member and first treasurer of the Winneconne Histori cal society. She is survived by one brother ALoys Wilz of Menasha and num ber of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Mo nday January 9th at St. Mary's Catholic Church Winneconne with Reverend L ee Roy Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Winneconne cemetery.

    Leo O. Wilz, 80, Kaukauna, passed away at his home on Friday, October 21, 2011, with his family at his side. He was born on November 4, 1930, in Appleton, to the late Nap "Leo" and Marie (Kuehnl) Wilz.
    Leo married Joyce Mahn in 1955 and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna since that time. He proudly served his country as a truck driver in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, also serving in Germany and Japan. He later became a truck driver at Thilmany's Mill where he worked for 37 years.
    He was a long-time member of Kaukauna Electric City VFW Post 3319. He enjoyed trips to the casino with his friend, Bill. Leo loved the 4th of July, lighting fireworks with the grandkids and family. He was a friend to everyone he met and would give rides to people who couldn't drive. Leo loved animals, especially Dawson.
    Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joyce; his children, Cindy (Dave) Niesen, Kaukauna; Barbara (Tim) Siebers, Kaukauna; David (Diana) Wilz, Kimberly; and Leo (Beth) Wilz, Iowa; his grandchildren, Lindsey and Eric Niesen, Heather (John) Sexton Nabbefeld, Hollie (John) Hammen, Wesley (Ashley) Siebers and Maria Siebers, Justin Wilz, and Nick and Haakon Wilz; his great-grandchildren, Chase Niesen, Hunter, Bianca, Titus, Judah, Moses and Haddie Cakes Hammen and two more great-grandchildren on the way! He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Jim (Ellie) Wilz, Appleton; Russell Wilz, Lenoir, N.C.; Patti (Carl) Schoettler, Shiocton; Vicki (Larry) Gorges, Greenville; and Marie (Len) Chilicki, Waukesha. He is further survived by his in-laws, Don (Mary) Mahn, Kaukauna; Phyllis Bovee, Kaukauna; and Sister Rosalie, OSST, Euclid, Ohio.
    Leo was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Wilz and Tom (Ann) Wilz; his nephews, Mark Wilz, Tom Schoettler, Bart Bovee and Steve Mahn; and his niece, Debbie Mahn Stoneburner; his in-laws, Roy and Phoebe Mahn.
    Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011, at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 124 W. Tenth Street, Kaukauna, with the Rev. Levi Willms officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of services. Military honors will be observed at the church following the funeral. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
    Our family would like to thank all of the ThedaCare Hospice staff, they are all special to us, and we want to thank Amanda who was like a part of our family.
    A memorial has been established in his name.

    Marie A Chilicki of Waukesha, died Friday, September 22, 2017, at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 67. She was born in Appleton, WI, on June 11, 1950, the daughter of Leo and Marie (nee Kuehnl) Wilz. She was a 1969 graduate of Appleton High School. On October 10, 1970, she married Len Chilicki in Appleton.
    Marie will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Len, of Waukesha, along with their daughters Jennifer (Rodney) Nicoson of Eagle and Marie K. Chilicki of Waukesha. Dear grandmother of Caleb A. Chilicki, Emma M. Nicoson, and Bryce T. Nicoson. She is further survived by her brothers Russell Wilz and James (Ellie) Wilz both of Appleton; sisters Patricia (Carl) Schoettler of Shiocten and Victoria (Larry) Gorges of Greenville, WI; sister-in-law Joyce Wilz of Kaukauna, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert (late Dorothy), Leo and Thomas.
    Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church 912 N. Oneida St. Appleton WI 54911.
